we stayed in one of the premium camp sites i would say its worth the extra money if you will be hanging out at your camp site becuase it has a bigger concret slab and it is close to all the pools and little recreation and bathroom areas. the bathroom and whole park was nice and quiet and clean! i would highly recomend renting a cart or you will be doing a lot of walking! the restaurant is buffett and expensive for what it really was so we ate there the first night and grilled the next few days. you can see the fireworks and boat parade from the beach area a nice plus all the staff were friendly and paitient as my kids wanted to trade pins with every one lol. there was lots to do you can literally spend days just doing things in the camp ground. over all we had a great time and will be back to the camp ground in the the near future

If you have kids, grandkids, any little ones, or if you are a kid at heart you must stay here. Book the cabins and your family will love you. They are self contained, clean, spacious, fun. Pre-book your golf cart ahead of time, pick it up when you check in, as this is a great way to explore and move around the emense property. At the beach you can relax, see the fireworks and electrical parade. During seasonal holidays the RV section always decorates, this is fun walking through seeing all the decorations. The hoop de do revue is a must as well as the buffets in the restaurant. The stores have all the food items you need, no need to go off property. the night movies and sing along for the kids is great even making your own smores. Easy in and out to all of the Disneyworld attractions. The pony rides and petting animals are great for the kids.

Room tip: You have to stay in the cabins. The best experience ever.

Check-in - Check in takes a few minutes. There is a sitting area for kids with cartoon movie and horseys to play with.

Cabin - Very nice with a rustic outdoors feel. The cabin was very clean. There is a bedroom with double bed and set of bunk beds along with a fold down bed in the living room. There is a TV in the bed room and in the living room. There is a full kitchen with dish washer, stove, fridge, and microwave. We have always appreciated the kitchen during our stays, but are finding that we use it less frequently as our kids get older and we spend more time at the parks. That said, it is still nice to have breakfast at the cabin before we head off for the day.

Service - Our housekeeper would make a number of animals out of the towels and facecloths. This was appreciated very much by everyone due to the creativity of the animals. We got a swan, a squirrel, and an alligator left for us in addition to the other towel creations. The room was well cleaned daily - even following a trip to the beach.

Bus - Exceptionally lovely to never have to drive.

Pool - there are two pools. One has a waterslide, spa, kiddie pool, kiddie play area. We spent most pool visits at this pool during our last visit. Our kids loved the pool and so did we. The water was clean and lifeguards were always on duty. The only improvement we felt was needed was that older/bigger kids would go into the kiddie play area and take over. Sometimes, older kids would play in a way that was unsafe for younger children. It would be good if a lifeguard monitored for the max height requirement in the kiddie play area.

WE LOVE THE CABINS!

Room tip: Cabins in the middle/back of a loop are farther from the bus, but tend to be quieter.

We were invited to a wedding of dear friends. Our entire family flew in from NYC and NC to join us for the festivities. We had many choices to stay near the wedding group but we choose to stay at Fort Wilderness Resort because our entire family loves the place. We had 4 adults and one child and had a wonderful time. We always rent golf carts to tool around in and it is the hghlight of the vacation.

My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I spent 6 days in Fort Wilderness Cabin 2753 . We received excellent house-keeping-plenty of towels, dishes washed daily, bathroom cleaned and beds nicely made all while we were touring the parks. This cabin is about a half block from the quiet pool which lived up to it's name. It was great for a swim and a dip in the hot tub in the heat of the afternoon. It was very quiet at night. Only once did we hear anything from a neighboring cabin and that lasted just briefly. We did not use Disney transportation or eat at the Fort Wilderness venues so can't address those aspects. We would definitely stay there again!
