“What did you expect, it ain't the Ritz”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2010

My 14 yr old son & I stayed for 5 nights and had a very pleasant stay. Is it perfect NO! BUT the staff was awesome and very accomodating. Wait staff great and one of the most affordable beach front eateries on the strip. Were there things wrong with the room, yes but staff fixed every concern immediatley. Little things like broken tv remote, room next door covered our AC with beach towel, jammed room safe. For the price it was a great deal. You get what you pay for however if there's a problem just ask and you'll be surprised. Their designation as a historic site gives it still more charm. Might try one of the suites if I were to go again.

“nice hotel friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2010

This hotel exceed my expectations. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness of the hotel surprised me. I was thrilled that they changed the sheets everyday. I thought that i would have to spend alot of money, however the price was very affordable. I also love the fact that it's on the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel to the budget minded traveler.

SeaClubManagement, General Manager at Sea Club Resort, responded to this review

We regret that the customer has complaints, but we strongly disagree with his or her description! While the hotel building is old, it can not be substantially altered, as the City & County wants to declare it Historic Building!

As I am writing we are today 100% sold-Out! Our occupancy for July 2010 is 98%, 48,533 guests stayed in our hotel in 2009. All those thousands of guests stayed happily because our hotel offers good value at very reasonable prices.

Due to constant maintenance and prevention through our Exterminating Company, we do not suffer from any bed bug infestations, which allows us to maintain our very high occupancy, I will be more than happy to disclose the Extermination records in order to proof it!

The notion that our manager, an educated and very agreeable professional, is part of a 'Gang' is just absurd. The complaining guest was offered 4 different rooms, but was not happy with any of the air conditioning in any of them! The guest was finally upgraded to a suite and got installed a brand-new, out-of-the box 11,000 BTU A/C unit by GE, specially manifactured for hotels, and still it was not enough to satisfy this guest.

We regret the customers' dissatisfaction, but suspect that her expectations did not match the fact that she booked a two star hotel at a very low rate.

“Was exactly what we were looking for.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2010

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for six nights. We were in town for a wedding. We thought it was a great hotel for the price. Our room was clean and large. The maids came everyday. The staff was friendly & courteous. The hotel is right across the street from the beach which was awesome. The hotel even lends you beach chairs & towels for the beach. Plus, the parking & internet was FREE, which is always a perk in my mind.

The bar/restaurant attached to the hotel had decent food & strong drinks. Our servers were all great and helpful. The person who waited on us for breakfast had lots of wonderful suggestions for things we could do on our trip.

My friend whose wedding I was in town for came by the hotel at one point & was amazed at the size of our room. She thought we had a great deal & commented that next time she stays near the beach, she would be staying at the Sea Club Resort.

I can say that the hotel is in a perfect spot. It's not right next to the strip of restaurant/bar that is further down the strip however, it does sit right between that strip & Little Philly. We had a great time & had plenty of places to choose from as far as food & drink.

“Great Location, Good Times”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2010

Sea Club in ft. lauderdale was a great place to stay while I was in florida for a few days. The room was abundantly spacious, the service great and I even had wifi while i was at the pool. I am a budget traveler, so when I found such a place I needed to notify others out there. In its range its the best bet for a beachfront hotel in ft. lauderdale.
