There is nothing "elegant" about this hotel, as described on most booking sites. Arrived late in the afternoon, very tired from our flight, only to be told our room was not ready. During the "wait" for our room, I lost my prescription sunglasses. Finally received a room key, only to find the room very small, not fresh, and the bathroom extremely SMALL. About an hour later we realized we had an adjoining room with a paper-thin door between the rooms and we could literally hear everything being said in the next room. We complained and asked for a non-adjoining room on a quieter floor and were moved. This seemed better until I listened to the gentleman next door take a pee and flush! Hotel is in dire need of a make-over and the price is way too high for what you get. Staff put on a good smile, but then just avoid your issues. Such as my sunglasses... I was told they were "attempting" to contact housekeeping but no one was answering. What elegant hotel doesn't have constant contact with their staff??? Free internet did not work most of the time. We gave up and used our air-card. Parking was $22 per day and there is no indoor entry from the garage to the hotel. And, of course, it was raining most of the days of our stay... Food was very expensive and service poor. My husband was served a very pricey dry piece of chicken and tasteless mashed potatoes that had to be returned to the chef. By the time the next plate arrived, I was just about finish with dinner. And to make things worse, this was our ANNIVERSARY! We even told the waiter it was our special day and no perks were offered. They never found my designer, prescription sunglasses... It's sad when you are glad to leave and go home! DG Dallas, Texas
