this is my second time staying here so the first time was no fluke this hotel is to put it in a simple term quite the best value best hotel in the best country in the world well done all at the newgrange give youre selves a big big pat on the back

I stayed in this hotel for a wedding which was on for friends of mine. In general, the whole stay was fantastic, it is a lovely hotel with great staff, fantastic service and lovely food. Also, the rooms were clean, tidy and well appointed. It is one of the best three star hotels I have stayed in and I would definitely return. For anyone planning to get married, the banqueting suite was just beautiful. There was 120 of us at the wedding and no-one had a bad thing to say. If I were to be very critical, the cleaning staff were quite loud (I think their office was outside my door on the 2nd floor). All their radios were turned up v loud and they were shouting at each other down the corridor at 9am. This would normally be fine, but it was after 6am when we got to bed and the hotel was full of the wedding party so would have been nice if they were a little quieter. Other than that, everything was great !!

I didn't stay in the Newgrange hotel, but i was at a wedding there.

I guess that the food was ok and all, but the first pint I got was in a very dirty glass with mold on it, and we found something really discusting in the food, which, even though it was dead, made a lot of us loose our appetite...

Well, the thing that i am mostly upset about is the fact that they doubled the prices on the rooms on the night of the wedding. They did actually offer a discount (i think it was 20%) for the first 25 rooms that were booked on the wedding night, but thats not really helpful, when they charge double price and a doubleroom had a price of 140 euro for a standard room.

I really checked everything to make sure that this was true, and I could see that no other thursdays had that high price. I understand that hotels have higher prices on weekends, christmas etc., but i don't understand why they have higher prices on the nights when they have arrangements like weddings. On these days they are allready payed for all the food and drinks the guest have at the wedding.

I think that this is a really bad way to make money and because of this, we were 8 people choosing to stay at a B&B 10 minutes away. The food was better, the service was better and it was more than half price.

I don't know how the rooms were, but i will never stay at a hotel where they cheat people like that. When people come from abroad to be at a wedding, that allready spend a lot of money just getting there...

Had a great 2 days here. Staff were exceptional. Rooms spotless and spacious. Food very good. Hotel lovely and clean.
Very child friendly. Free parking.
