My partner and I stayed at Pearl Palace Heritage in December 2011.
We had attempted to book at Pearl Palace (due to rave reviews) but it was booked out and they advised us their new hotel had vacancies; Pearl Palace Heritage.
A rickshaw was waiting at the train station to collect us when we arrived in Jaipur and took us to the hotel (complementary).
Overall the 'safari' themed room we stayed in was amazingly spacious and clean with the most comfortable bed and linen I still rave about.
New bathroom with reliable hot water, vanity, and shower door (unlike many hotels in India where the bathroom space is one large water area).
Although construction was still taking place on the levels above, often into the evening this did not affect us too much as we were generally out during such hours.
The most impressive aspect was the personal desktop computer in the room with free internet access, allowing us to 'reconnect' with Australia after a few weeks away. The first hotel I have ever stayed in that offered such a service, very impressive and called for in 2012.
Staff were extremely helpful and the night reception man even walked my partner to an ATM the night before we left so he could get cash out to pay bill and wasn't sure of the directions to the teller machine.
The restaurant was not running yet, however you could order food from Pearl Palace up the road to be delivered, and there was also free rickshaw rides to Pearl Palace if needed, although it is just a small walk away (we ate at Pearl Palace 3 mornings and 3 nights in a row!).
There was a British family staying on our level with 3 children (aged about 5, 10 and 12) and they also seemed quite pleased with the quality of the hotel.
This hotel will be even more enhanced when all levels are complete. A great location for couples and families especially.
