This was pretty much the default place for 4 families which went to kodai in end-apr, beginning may. Great weather with cloudy mists rolling over the lake in the afternoon followed by a mild to heavy shower. Do consider rooms 107 onwards if you want a great view but are not concerned too much about privacy on the balcony.
Good to know that we could rent the hotels bicycles for free although they didn't have a tandem cycle. Plenty of activities for kids including table tennis, foosball, badminton, etc.
Service pretty much fine - not too many complaints unless you are in a group requiring a special diet (eg jain food) in which case beside to inform the executive chef well in advance else you could end up eating from a sparse menu vs everyone else enjoying a lavish spread!
Ask for Rabeendran to take you for sightseeing but avoid the crowded suicide point. Instead ask him to take you to the pillar rock view with a 10min walk inside the forest. Great guy!
Hotels bar was a bit too lax in serving us our food taking way too long (1hr for a plate of fries).
