This is a very interesting inn. It is isolated from the world. Cell phone service was not available there or in the proximity of the area. The rooms are very country-farm. Basic, comfortable, with no frills. Kind of a refreshing change of pace. By total contrast, the owner and chef, Ira, has studied culinary in New York and Paris and produces fabulous dinners. The aroma permeates the air of the inn. I cannot imagine ANYONE being able to resist the temptation.
There is a vast assortment of very nice wines available for purchase in the restaurant or as a retail sale.
The pace is slow, the defying present-day stress. You will feel compelled to play a game of cards or read a book or just sit in the bench-swing listening to the river or sit in one of the rockers on the porch and contemplate. The price of the rooms is very reasonable and includes breakfast. Be forwarned that the drive there from Ashland is not as easy as the drive from Klamath Falls. If anyone in the car has the tendency to get car-sick, take the precautionary pills.
