“Very relaxing trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2009

My boyfriend and I flew down from Portland to this little bed and breakfast and have found our new getaway destination. We were both looking for a place to go for a few nights to relax and unwind and this is the perfect spot. We took advantage of the $99 special which includes the room and dinner for two from their great in-house restaurant, as well as the continental breakfast in the morning. Donnie and Denise were warm and welcoming from the very beginning, even picking us up and dropping us off at the local airport down the road (Pinehurst State Airport). The food is wonderful and very well priced, the service is very personal, and of course their dog Jake is adorable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a romantic weekend, or for nature lovers.

“Wonderful B & B, Wonderful People!”

A few of us spent a weekend at the Pinehurst Inn, and had a wonderful time! Even though it's quite a (windy) trek out of town, the inn provided a peaceful, cozy, hospitable, and delicious place to lay our heads! The Krizo's are wonderful hosts, and I hope visit again soon!

“Phenomenal!!!”

When my husband called on short notice to book a room here for our anniversary, Ira was not only happy to oblige but went the extra mile (as he apparently does for all of his guests) to make our stay enjoyable. Dinner was an occasion to be remembered, with excellent food paired with amazing service. The room itself was wonderful, inviting and beautiful with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on and an atmosphere that made us truly feel welcome and at home (without having to be at home).

We will return many times, even if we move out of the area. This is truly the best bed and breakfast in the country, hidden away in the beautiful mountains of Southern Oregon. It was well worth the short drive from Klamath Falls and we could have stayed someplace much less inviting for more than what we spent there.

There is no way to explain how wonderful this little inn is without sounding like we're exaggerating. Try it for yourself and see how truly awe-inspiring this place and its hosts are.

“phenomenal getaway”

we arrived in the early afternoon and were so pleased to be away from everything. Spent the afternoon reading and enjoying some of their wines from their great wine list. Late in the afternoon we asked for a fruit and cheese platter to be made for us. The attention and service was some of the finest i have ever experienced. Ira and his wife seemed to be everywhere.
Dinner was so sensational and the grazing dinner was the hit of the evening. then after dinner sitting on the porch and just talking.
Breakfast the next morning was so great we were taken by surprize. In short , the evening we spent there was such a great experience that 2 weeks later we returned to do it again.
This Inn is indeed a jewel if you want peace and quiet. Great food and wine and an attentive staff. Its not for you if you need to be entertained and cant relax. this is southern Oregon at its best. Enjoy!

“Wanted to love it but could not”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2006

The Pinehurst Inn is down a very windy road, heck half the fun is getting there. Once we arrived, we realized that the photos on the website did not give the complete story. On the website, you get the feeling that the inn sits back from the main road. In fact, it sits on a gravel parking lot on the main road.
Once we entered the front room we were greeted with an old musty odor, and nothing else. There was not front desk, no one to greet us and no directions noted. We found our way into the dining room and introduced ourselves as guests to one of the hostesses. She went into another room and came back to show us to our room. She did not introduce herself, tell us about the area nor suggest that we might want to have dinner there. It was weird.

We booked the largest room in the house as it was our anniversary. The lay out of the room was thoughtful. There was a large claw foot tub in the bathroom and a canopy bed in the bedroom. Unfortunately, during our one night stay, we found five spiders in our room, including one on the bed.

Although we were told that we would have a view of the creek, the creek was dry. Of course that was out of their control. However, the weeds and grass were too high to even see the creek. We though that we would try out the back porch, but found that it was full of boxes and discarded children's toys. The best thing about the back porch was the friendly kitty that greeted us. We then went on to the upstairs sun porch, nothing bad nor remarkable here.

The best thing about the inn was the breakfast. fresh pastries, orange juice and fruit hit the spot.

We really wanted to like this place, but it just was not for us. In the room was a journal that previous guest had written nice things about the inn. However, when we tried to think of something to say, we could not think of a thing to say.

I am sorry that we weren't able to make your stay a pleasant one, since it is our goal.
However, I have a few points that I would like to clarify:
1. Spiders: the Inn was built in 1920 and is situated in the country. Unfortunately small uninvited creatures find their way through the cracks and in to the rooms during summertime. This is something we cannot prevent.
Desk: Our Inn is small, we have only five rooms, and therefore cannot afford to have one person sitting by the desk exclusively to greet our room guests. We have also a full service restaurant, which means that if you check in after five, we will be working in the restaurant. The front door has a bell, which notifies at that someone has stepped into the lobby. We try to always answer every call as promptly as possible, but sometimes we need to help another customer first before we can come and assist you. I was most likely the one who greeted you, and I did not know that you expected me to present myself, since most people do not expect it. When a person makes a reservation, we always ask if he/she would like to make a dinner reservation as well. If you have not made a dinner reservation before your arrival, we assume that you are not interested of having dinner with us, which is sometimes the case. We do not want to appear as pressuring you to have dinner with us and therefore have adopted the policy. Our restaurant is a popular one and therefore we cannot always accept more reservations, especially on Fri-Sat nights.
Back porch: this area is not for guest use. It is used by the kitchen. The front part of the porch has several chairs, and tables for our guests, the screened part of the porch is also for our guests. We have a swing next to the path leading to the creek, and more chairs by the creek. We have also 23 achers of land for our guests to enjoy.
