As we got out of the bus station and got into a local woman's taxi suv, I would be lying if I said I wasn't skeptical when she exclaimed that she would be taking us to a 'nice' hotel. New to hua hin, we were left to the woman's mercy, and after an overpriced and short journey, we parked near Thipurai Beach hotel, it sure was a gem of a place. The narrow streets leading to it reminds me of a small road in Europe, and the walkway leading to the beach made me feel like I was six all over again. The rates were pretty good for the peak season, and the beautiful manager knew very good English, and was very polite. The young man who was also at the front desk was also very helpful. We stayed only one night and took an extra bed, but I wouldn't mind staying here a few more nights. A cherry on the cake was the midnight beach wind in the balcony, which was unparalleled and unmatched by any other beach hotels I've been to. Definitely highly recommended. More
