A lovely spot for a couple of quiet days to break up the hurly burly of downtown Algiers - close to the city to make day trips (less than an hour on the bus) but lovely to wake up next to the sea, watch the sun go down from the rooftop terrace and the food is also very good.
The family will run you into the airport or station and are very kind and helpful.

i went on a nostalgia trip having been brought up there as a kid in the 70's and to celebrate a family 70th....

There are things that make a stay memorable. The people who run and serve the guests and the ambiance.

The welcome and kindness shown by Lamri, Yacine, Bahia, Hamidou, Hamid , Mohammed and the young, bright waiter every day as well as the cooks were first rate. This was like being in a family guesthouse and that is exactly what it is. You need go nowhere else. The rooms are comfortable, the food homecooking is excellent and the people helpful without being obtrusive.
the beaches on ain taye are magnificent and all i can say is that I will return.
thankyou Dar-Tlidjene. Merci a tous- de tres bonnes memoires. On se reverra Inchaala. Joyeux et Happy Eid!

This is the second time that i have stayed at this hotel and it is still great. If you want a quiet place to stay which overlooks the sea then i highly reccomend it. We stayed in room 15 which is a juniour suite, it is large, has a balcony and overlooks the sea. The room was cleaned every day and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has its own taxi service which we used every day to get out and about.
Will definately be going back!

Room tip: Room 14/15 which is the juniour suites

Enjoyed a brief stay here with internet access available in the room on the first floor. However when we asked for a room with a balcony we were accommodated and moved to the top floor losing internet but gaining a better room. Breakfast was adequate continental style. Never had a chance to try the food.

Room tip: If internet access is important stick to first floor

We stayed in Hotel Dar-Tlidjene in Algiers in February 2012, on our way to the south of Algeria. We were picked up in the very early morning (like 3.30 am) from a person from the hotel and taken to the hotel in a seaside suburb of Algiers - we appreciated this service very much. The hotel is very comfortable - someone has thought of everything a guest could wish for. The room was warm, exquisitely clean and comfortable. There was a very good restaurant attached to the hotel. The staff were helpful and hospitable and arranged two tours for us in the day and a half we were in Algiers - one half day tour of the city of Algiers and the other to the Roman ruins at Tipasa, north of Algiers. The only drawback is that it is 18 kms from the centre of Algiers and the traffic is diabolical so the travel seems to take forever. Despite this, it is a lovely place to stay with very very nice people..

Room tip: Ask for a room at the top of the hotel (it is real warren) with sea views.
