This hotel was great. It was close to not only the white house and capital, but smaller things like the Ford Theater and china town. You could walk where ever you needed to go. We didn't take a cab anywhere (even thou the kids wished we had) LOL. With the metro being under the hotel there is no reason to go outside to catch it, which makes it nice. Only problem , is that we didn't know how to get to the hotel from the metro when we first got there so we went outside and found that we only had to walk a half a block to get to the hotel lobby, After check-in we went to find the way to come into the hotel and found it with no problem, they are doing work in the area around the doorway , so watch for the signs and you will find the way in.
If you are flying into Reagan Airport you can take the Metro to the hotel and it only cost us $1.85 each way per person. No way you can get a cab for that price. All in all we found this hotel to be a great place to lay our head. The employees were great, the location was great and should we make a trip back to Washington we will look into staying at the Hyatt.
