There really is nothing wrong with this hotel, but from the website photos, and because it was on the upper end of Riga hotel prices, I was expecting more than your regular, upper end of the market, nice, beige hotel room. It was comfortable and clean but kind of boring. The website photos made it look much more like a stylish studio apartment. It's not. It's a beige hotel room with a fridge/microwave/sink in the 'kitchen' entrance hallway. As I said, there's nothing really wrong, just my expectations weren't met.
As an aside, in a 4 month trip filled with wonderful meals, I had the worst meal at this hotel's restaurant. I could not get my knife thru the (supposed) duck. I let the wait staff know, but no apology or discount was offered.
