We stayed at Laisves al. 50, apt 3 (a 2-bedroom apt). We were super happy about the location (on a very long and nice shopphing alley, close to everything we needed), but the condition of the apt itself wasn't what we expected. When we booked it, we saw some really nice pics on the page booking.com of newly renovated rooms, but ours had not seen any repais for many years, for sure. First, the parquet was ancient and proper worn out (also quite dusty), the toilet/shower room reeked of... well, not nice things (sort of a situation of the plumbing, seemed to be); the furniture was somewhat shabby (one of the bed mattresses had springs bulging out, some sofas were unusable, others were nice leathery things though). Then, the ceilings were quite high, I liked that, but the paint was cracked and peeling off at places. The apt was said to be fully equipped, however, there was no coffee maker in the kitchen, and simple little things like some extra bin liners, scissors, more coat hangers etc would have been nice, also they left 1,5 rolls of poor quality toilet paper for a 4-night stay for 2 small families - come on. So you arrive at a place said to be fully equipped and first thing you need to go shopping for necessities. Also, the knives in the kitchen weren't good enough to cut a banana in half and the pan was big enough to make food for 1 person. And we only got 1 set of keys between our 2 families (I mean, really!), and the gate was often locked, so even if we had resorted to hiding the keys under the door mat, we would have been locked out all the time. Btw, there was no room nr on the door, so the first time we went out and I arrived first, I couldn't find our door any more, had to wait for sb else with a Sherlock Holmes memory to arrive. There were big wardrobes in both bedrooms, but as I said, very few coat hangers and only tiny shelves in those, so we had to leave all our clothes in our suitcases, which were, by the end of our stay covered with paint that had peeled off the ceilings, and so were my clothes, since I had left one suitcase open. Lastly, one of the bedrooms was nice and spacious, but the other one only good enough to maybe house 2 kids, not a family, as was advertised.
From the positive side, the living room was spacious, there was a balcony in one of the bedrooms, there was a washing machine and and ironing equipment (which we did't test though, laundry's not sth you'd like to do on the holiday).
The service - well, the check-in part ran smoothly, sb came to meet our car and lead us to the parking area and they were there exactly at the agreed time. It was also nice enough that they enabled a late check-out (13:00 was agreed beforehand), but even so, someone came banging at our door at 12 sharp and again 30 min later, even though we said we would leave at 13:00. Sb over the phone did speak English, but the ppl we met, "preferred" Russian.
All in all, not much effort was put into making guests comfortable, but hey, the price was not that high also. Still, what they advertise is not quite true. Oh, and if you expect a quiet place to sleep, then this is not your ideal location (vivacious night life right under your bedroom windows, street cleaning machines every morning wayyy too early etc).
