We stayed at the Travelodge in 2 rooms - 1 with Queen bed, and one with 2 single beds. In neither room could anyone get a good night's sleep. Some feral-smelling cleaning compound had been used, which caused us to cough all night, and gave my Mother, in particulaly, a raging headache. There is no way to open a window, and the airconditioning is noisy and rattling. The two single beds were as hard as rocks, and terribly hot - as though a rubber sheet was underneath.

The buffet breakfast was passable.

I stayed here for 8 nights, the location is great, very easy to walk to most things. Staff very helpfull. Room was very spacious, had a small kitchen area with microwave and sink.

We stayed here for 5 nights.

Location is extremely convenient. Quiet at night but next door to everything on the south bank.

For a downtown melbourne hotel, the rates are extremely reasonable as well.

Rooms are simple and clean and well kept.

Only hitch was that our heater wasn't working well, so we had to use extra blankets at night.

Travelodge southbank was an excellent choice for convenience to everywhere we had to be during the weekend.
Staff were very helpful and supplied a data cord when I had forgotten to pack one!
We left mail with them to be posted.
Handled check in and check out very efficiently and stored our baggage.
Were very helpful with directions on how to get to places as well.
All in all a great stay thank you.
