We visited the area for friends wedding. Woolbeding was not on the list of accomodation they had recommended, but we took the chance anyway.
What a great found !
We always go to B&B in England and France, almost as a principle and this is my number 1 (out of 200 probably ). It is the most amazing country retreat you could hope for.
First criteria for us: it's very quite, even though easy to find.
then the feel of the big drawing room with the fireplace the owner lit when we stayed in the evening, all the lovely piles of book.
Finally, the bedroom was literally impecable, the bathroom as well completed with cotton buds, cotton disc, toiletries of the best products (REN for connaisseurs), with the detail a big scented candle and matches to enjoy during your bath.
The bed was perfect, the pillows and big duvet really fluffy.
We stayed in the Barnes Room and really enjoyed the french windows and the view. We met up with the other visitors and they reported that they're room was also perfect.
Breakfast ? a homemade feast with full english, blackbudding, homemade jam, freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade rhubarb compote. And selection of papers of the day delivered for us (sunday times, guardian, etc,,,)
We are planning the next week end there!
