We travelled with a 5 yr old and a 16 month old. From the outset we felt really safe with our toddler as there were no balconies, the rooms are quite big and there is space to roam. The pools were very good - the water was not too cold and our 5 yr old was able to swim all day. The animation team were excellent and deserve a special mention. Location was good as it is close to sand dunes, beach and also meloneras resort. COurtesy bus was good - especially the driver who was very helpful!
On a negative note the all inclusive was not very flexible - for instance cava and baileys were excluded from the menu and the times that all inclusive was available were a bit limited (pool side bar stopped serving all inclusive at 2 ish and you had to pay for a snack or go hungry until evening meal). Also never tasted juice at breakfast that was soo horrible!! if the hotel could sort the all inclusive part it would be a very good hotel

my wife and i returned as promised to the hotel again this year. we enjoyed it so much last year. it was a bad yr for us both, i had recovered from throat cancer treatment and she had worked long and hard to cover my illness. so we both needed to seriously recharge our batteries.
we were not looking for the busy jostling nightlife that is Playa De Ingles, just a nice clean relaxing holiday.
this hotel is perfect,
check in was painless and efficient, room was easy to find after getting our bearings last yr.
this year we had a suite (last year a villa) and it was a wonderful room.
maid service daily, happy friendly maids. in lush perfectly kept grounds. about 20mt walk to pool.
there are about 5 pools actually on the complex. the ones farthest away from the reception area are wonderfully quiet and peaceful.
the main one has incredibly skilled entertainment staff.
brithish toutrists were a little scarce this year, but as another reviewer said, maybe not a bad thing.
the food again was magnificent, the maitre rememberd us from last year as did several of the other staff.
you must dress for dinner (3 quarter length shorts allowed) not bikinis and swimming gear.
there is a little construction work in a corner of the complex as they finish the esplendido hotel section, but it in no way spoils your holiday.
the walk to the beach and shops is a lovely stroll after an enjoyable evening meal.
i have already sent an email to the hotel thanking them for an excellent stay and saying we will be back again next year.
if you like a nice quiet beautifully clean hotel for a relaxing break, look no further.
oh..and cockroaches...i have seen 2...one in my room dead...probably killed by the treatment from the maids....and the other outside on my porch / seating area.
i kicked it into the grass...the dead one i picked up in tissue and disposed of.
job done...didnt feel the need to complain.....(some people)

Loved it. Great mix of nationalities. Super food - couldn't stop eating fresh fruit. The cabaret in the evening wasn't brilliant but in being bad - it became increasingly more fun and just added to the feel good factor we experienced. Not far from stunning beaches (a short walk next to a nature reserve) - just loved it - as did our 10 year old son and 17 year old daughter - who got taken by the entertainment crew for a night out clubbing - supervised for no extra costs

One week all inclusive and happy to leave. As with most reviews the accommodation was fine, the food good and the service similar. However something that I didn't expect was the isolation and the general location of the hotel. I would have been very concerned if I had any walking difficulities because to go anywhere you need to walk. There is, unless you participate in the hotel activities which was limited, nothing to do and nowhere to go. A taxi for 5 euros takes you to the next resort but I found it tacky to say the least.

I would have preferred if someone had alerted me to the location of this hotel and while we enjoy all inlcusive, it's also nice to be able to visit other areas.

Overall a disappointing holiday and we will not return to Gran Canaria.
