“Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!”

Huge room, recently remodeled with a king size bed! Beautiful gardens, great location with a very friendly dog. Breakfast was standard fare but very good. Bandon was surprisingly adorable. We ate at the Italian restaurant in town, very good as well. Catherine is a wonderful host, and we greatly enjoyed chatting with her!

“Lovely place to stay”

I stayed with my family for 4 nights in one of the self catering units in August and it really was lovely. Every amenity was provided and the accomodation was extremely comfortable, a home from home. The owners make you feel welcome and are knowledgeable about the local area. Bandon is an an ideal town to tour the rest of west cork as well as being a lovely location to spend a short break. Highly recommend.

“A Great Place to spend a rainy day.”

Found out about Kilbrogan House from a travel book, checked out their website, neither does justice to the place or the people, Catherine and David.

We had such a wonderful time and they are both great people.
Make sure you ask Catherine about her friends the Crowleys who conduct a Michael Collins tour. It will be a highlight of your visit.

Bandon is a great base to visit Cork and Southwestern Ireland. Nice restaurants, a good launderette where you can get you laundry washed, dried and folded in a day for about $15 per load. What a deal!

And if it is really rainy or you just want to kick back for a day. Kilbrogan House is the place to do it. Lots of common rooms to hang out in, a library and free internet to check email etc.

We are going back.

“A lovely spot to stay”

We were very impressed with Kilbogan House, not only
because the house itself has been so elegantly restored;
the rooms are spacious, charmingly decorated with
interesting paintings and hangings, very comfortable and
spotlessly clean; breakfast is served around one large table,
and the food is superb.
Besides all this, we were made so welcome by the owners,
Catherine and David, who could not have been more
friendly or helpful, with lots of tips on where to eat, how to
handle traffic in Cork City (park 'n ride!), and many other
kindnesses, e.g serving tea on our return after a day's
touring the area.
If you are visiting the district, we can heartily recommend
Kilbrogan for a relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable stay.
David, Jane and Katie.
