I stayed with my partner for a weekend in The Old Imperial Hotel, Youghal during April.
We regularly take weekend breaks and we found this hotels to be one of the nicest we have stayed in. A great all round hotel
Staff were friendly, Location in centre of town was perfect, Rooms were clean and spacious. Great craic in bar with locals.
We also ate in the Coachouse Restaurant and the food was divine and resonably priced.
The hotel was a nice family run place where the staff are very friendly and take the time to talk to guests and all their customers. We had a very relaxing weekend there.
We will definitely return for a visit.

Stayed in the Old Imperial Hotel Youghal, in April this year for 2 nights, our room was at the back of the hotel which was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpfull, no matter what we needed they were on hand 24/7. We dined in the Coachouse Restaurant on the night of our arrival the food was excellent and so was the service.
We could not fault the place at all. We will be back!

We did not ask to change so maybe some of it was our fault, but we were just visiting friends in the area and were quite busy so did really have time to judge the room too much until it came to trying to sleep.
When we came back to our room after our great night out, the stench of cigarette smoke throughout our floor made me nearly get sick. Then when we got into our room we noticed that on one side of the bedcover there was a number of cigarette burn marks and then more on the ground, obviously where someone fell asleep in bed while smoking and dropped their cigarette ….lovely!!! The stench of smoke got very strong again early in the morning so we just got up as quickly as possible and got of there, so I can not comment on the breakfast!! The funny thing is that we had requested a non-smoking room.
The room itself was adequate, basic enough and a bit dated. The staff that we met seemed ok and the pub downstairs is great.
This would be fine if we were paying cheap B&B rates, but I think 110Euro a night off-season is far too much for this place.

Owners were rude. staff were incompetent. it was by far the worst hotel i have stayed in. NEVER AGAIN
