“Definitely not a four star Hotel”, We booked in the Sunday evening with high hopes because it was a four star hotel, don’t be fooled! As soon as we got to the room we realised that we this was not the hotel for us. We are a young couple in our early 20s so we aren’t that fussy but the treatment we got here was a disgrace. We got to our room straight away we realised its really basic like a one star B & B. It was really unbearably warm, so we went to the window to let some air in and what a view. We were put in a room above the bar back area, where the bins were, so we opened the window to the smell of bins and loud noise from the kitchen and bar area. We started phoning other Hotels straight away we had now realised there was no pool also, you had to drive into town to get a swim. It was late and all hotels were booked, until the next day. We got booked into the brilliant Radisson Blu hotel 3 miles down the road. So we knew we had to stay in the Hotel for one night at least so we went down to reception and complained because it was impossible to stay in this room. We explained we were leaving in the morning even though we had booked for 3 nights. We explained our reasons and got no apology. We said we needed a different room for one night. We were given a bigger room but again the heat was un-bearable and we opened the windows this time there was busy road noise. It was the worst night sleep ever with the road noise from early and every time someone opened a door the doors all creaked really loud. Breakfast was bad cold food and really bad service When we checked out the next morning - again no apology and to further add insult the £33 pound deposit for the 3 night was not taken off the bill as we were not staying all 3 nights. I complained and got no where I just wanted out. Book Radisson instead, pool and rooms fantastic.
