We recently stayed at the Woodland to attend an open air concert at Killruddery House which is right opposite the hotel. Having arrived very early to check in as our flight from the UK landed at 8am, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who actually rang through to house keeping to ask if our room was ready, it wasn't ,but we had a coffee and within about half an hour we were given our keys, not like some hotels that wont let you check in until the oligatory 2 or 3-00pm. I saw another guest who had obviously arrived early due to flights also given his keys after about half an hour, much to his surprise I think as he commented on the good sevice. Our package included breakfast and dinner, the breakfast is self service inc. good choice of cereal, hot porridge, meats, fruit, bacon , eggs, toast, croissants etc. You can also serve yourself with pots of tea & coffee so you dont have to wait for a waitress to ask you if you want more! Dinner was a three course menu choice, really enjoyable. They also have an excellent bar menu available from 12-00pm through to 9pm, again really good choice and good value. Breakfast was served till 11am weekends 10-30 am in the week so a little time for a lie in !! Very friendly and helpful staff. We realy enjoyed our stay, the location was ideal for us, but there's a bus stop for local buses just around the corner from the hotel through to Bray and from there you can catch the Dart into Dublin about a 50min journey altogether and thats allowing time to wait for the bus and train. Would recommend.
