“going back soon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2010

stayed at the ramada from 01.08.10 to 04.08.10.This hotel is excellent value.Very friendly helpful pleasant staff.Good location for day trips around wicklow.Rooms were very clean and well looked after and very spacious.we have stayed in other hotels in bray but i am glad we tried the Ramada. As we were so pleased with it I booked it again when i got home .we are going again on 11.08.010 for three nights and this time we are bringing the children with us as this is the perfect spot to stay in bray. close enough to the centre but far enough for some peace and quiet.would highly recommend this hotel.

“Excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2010

I stayed in the ramada for a weekend in august 2009, i found the staff extremely friendly and helpfull. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very spacious and modern. The food was lovely also we had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. The hotel was in walking distance of the town and not too far from the seafront, we got a taxi down the seafront and the reception staff were very good ordering the taxi for us and the taxi was promptly outside for us. I would definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone who was planning on visiting bray as i found it the best hotel in bray. I have had previous stays in hotels in bray and found the ramada to be by far the best with the most friendly staff.

“good enough for one night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 April 2010

stayed here for one night, this hotel is situated in a residential area, to get to the town of Bray or the sea front you need to drive
checked in late afternoon the receptionist was serving in the bar, but we just had to wait a minute of two for her, very friendly efficient check in..she then did a bit of waitressing (multi-skilled) the room is small, very dated with dark brown carpet from the 70's, dark furniture, big comfy bed, small bathroom..grand room if you just want to sleep in it, not great for relaxing with a book for an hour or so as the chairs are hard and uncomfy.. didn't have dinner here... breakfast was lovely though. €85 euro for 2 people bed and breakfast for one night. there was a "balcony" in the room didn't see the point of it as it looked out onto a car park and noise from the main road..yes the hotel is clean, but shouldn't that be the norm? If i was staying in Bray again, probably prefer to stay nearer the sea front. If not a hotel then a bed and breakfast place

Hello and thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am pleased to note you found the staff welcoming and friendly and will pass these comments on. While we are located just outside the town it is a walkable distance and there is the option of local bus with bus stop just outside the hotel or free phone taxi from reception. The accommodation you stayed in is part of a new wing built about 4 years ago so its decor is quite modern but I'm sorry you found it to be dated. I am glad you found the hotel good value as we do our best to ensure that is the experience of all our guests.

Kind Regards

“A glimpse of organisation through the chaos caused by volcanic ash!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 April 2010

Having had our trip disrupted by events, hungry, frustrated and shattered, we happened upon this hotel. What a find! We could not have wished for anything better. The staff were extremely courteous . They arranged accommodation for the following night for us in Rosslare and could not have been more helpful. I was only sorry that our stay was so short.

“Super Hotel, way beyond my expectations!”

I stayed here with my Mum and 2 young boys on the 22nd March for 3 nights. Wow what a super hotel, we got the most fabulous family room with 3 beds and a sittingroom area with cable tv and free internet access plus an ensuite bathroom with bath/shower, lots of extra towels and a large mirror. Our room looked out onto a nearby golf course. The hotel is nestled in a nice quite area with easy access to all the main routes..Avoca handweavers is just 3.5km from the hotel and the Drundrum SC is only a short drive too. We had a very comfortable stay, the beds were super comfy, the breakfast buffet was well stocked with top class, fresh hot and cold foods..with Porridge, homemade smoothies and the most delicious full Irish Breakfast items...Rashers to die for!! But the best of all were the staff they were so friendly, from the receptionist to the accommodation staff but best of all THERESE, wow, I have never come across someone more suited to working in the hospitality sector. She made my boys feel like princes, nothing was too much bother for her. When we got to our room on the first evening she set up a travel cot for my 14month old and went off and got a single duvet to line the cot to make it more comfortable for him. When we went down to eat from the bar menu she brought down table games for the boys to play with and once they were bored with them she entertained them with her warm friendly and natural approach. Because she looked after my boys so well, they had a great stay and I got to relax and enjoy it. I will definitely be returning to this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone else. It would suit a lot of different types of travellers..Business people, families, couples (young and old).
