“Wonderful Stay”

This was our first stop after arriving at 7 AM in Dublin. Visited Kilkenny Castle, Rock of Cashel on our way. We were exhausted by the time we checked in at 4:00. Eileen made several recommendations for dinner. We were in bed by 6:30. Room was a great size with a double and twin bed. Breakfast in the morning was great. The bathroom was small but adequate. The water pressure could have been better, but everything else was fantastic. Great selection of complementary soap/shampoo products. Had our first (and last) guinness at the 1st bar on the left as you come into town and the locals there were very friendly and fun.

“Decent and Comfortable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 April 2010

We stayed here on our whirlwind tour of the southwest of Ireland. I wanted to see the Rock of Cashel. The hotel is a bit out of town so I would recommend having a car, unless you are a good walker. The room was very comfortable. The only real complaint was that the shower pressure was not very good. It was like misting yourself clean.
There was a computer available in the hotel, but only for 15 minutes per room per night.

“Superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 April 2010

Me and my hubby stayed in Ard Ri House just last week for Holy week for 2 nights and all I can say with this B&B is superb and a very warm hospitality. You will be greeted by Eileen and her porcelain dolls that looks fab! Our en-suite room was great and everything is provided from ironing board, hair dryer, tea/coffee and even a free wi-fi in which not all B&Bs offer that. All I can say is that..it is like a mini hotel! The family really understand how to run a business like that and they know what are the needs of the guests. Not to forget...the breakfast menu is really fantastic!!!! I wish all the best to the Creed family and keep up the good work!

“The most welcoming B&B we stayed at!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2010

Eileen was the best hostess and enormously helpful with many tips for our travels before and after staying with her in Cashel. We arrived at 4pm and wihtout hesitation she had a tray of coffee, tea and pastries for us to leisurely enjoy in the livingroom by the fireplace. It was great to be able to relax after our drive from Dublin to Kilkenny and then R691 to the Ard Ri House. The room was large and comfy with big windows that made it feel even larger. Everything was wonderful. The breakfast was huge, more than you could possibly eat. We could walk in to town for dinner that evening which was great for us driving all day. And the next day we walked to the Rock of Cashel. We would highly recommend this B&B. Charleen, Cheryl, and Rhonda

“Beautiful guesthouse with caring hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2010

House Ard Ri was one of the B&B highlights on our Ireland Trip. Though slightly tricky to find (the GPS coordinates didn't work) the house is in a quiet location not far from the town. The 3-bed room was very clean, beautifully furbished including its own bathroom. The breakfast buffet was exceptionally well stocked with fresh made muffins and various Ard Ri specials. When we return to Ireland we will definitely make a stop in Ard Ri House again. Truly for the High Kings!
