“Warm and friendly welcome assured and stunning views - 5*s all round”

After a long day travelling around the south coast of Ireland we were delighted by the warm welcome we recieved from Madelaine, Richard and Paddy the dog!

The rooms are fantastic - spacious, warm and comforable with execellent ensuite bathroom facilities. The setting is just stunning, with amazing views of the Sheeps Head peninsula and the open atlantic ocean, which we enjoyed from the conservatory while having a full Irish breakfast.

Kilchrohane is a perfect base for exploring Southern Ireland and we fully recommend Lower Caher House to anyone staying in this area.

“Beautiful Area, Wonderful Hosts”

The Lower Caher House is a gem of a B&B. The rooms and facilities are clean and spacious. Breakfast is served in a beautiful glass encased porch and the garden and yard are well landscaped.

Madeleine and Richard are wonderful hosts and the Sheep's Head area is very scenic and makes for some fantastic hiking.

Make sure you kick the ball around with Paddy, their dog.

We highly recommend the Lower Caher House.

We have just come back from the Kilcrohane on the Sheepshead Peninsula in West Cork - we stayed at a super B&B called Lower Caher House in Caher just about 2 miles outside Kilcrohane - they have a web site http://www.lowercaherhouse.com - it is an absolutely beautiful place to stay and we had a great welcome with coffee and home made cake in the conservatory on arrival. Madeleine made us feel so welcome, the room was just perfect, snowy white sheets and fluffy white towels with pristine white ensuite. We walked from the house to the Head, it was about a 10 mile round trip with stunning scenery enroute, it rained a bit but you can expect that in Ireland - there are drying facilities anyway for wet gear in Lower Caher House so we were ok. It was a fab holiday and I can thorougly recommend this B&B - you can strike the whole of the Peninsula from it, absolutely perfect for walkers like ourselves. The Kilcrohane Festival was in full swing and there was plenty of craic and fun. We loved it and can't wait to return.

Wow! What a find! Recommended by the local pub we spent two fabulous nights here. The rooms were amazing..lovely hot showers and even electric blankets..just perfect for warming us up after our long walk! Our hosts were wonderful and even let our young ones play with their Lego which got us through a tricky spot! Exceptional views from the Conservatory and ideal as a base for walking the Peninsula!
