“Nice location, but overall not so comfortable as expected”

Mary is very nice and welcoming, and her fruit salad is the best ever.
Though, accomodation is way less comfortable than in other equivalent B&Bs in Ireland.
The main problem is that the bathroom is "partitioned" , kind of French-style, with the sink by the bed and the toilet+shower in a separate room. We were not used to it and it's not the top from a hygienic point of view.
The farmhouse is a couple of miles away from the village, this means you have to drive and it can get crowded if you're going there for King Goat's celebration.
Remember to bring cash: even if we are in the 21st century, they do not accept credit/debit cards - and the closest ATM is a 10-minute drive.

“Great place to stay for a quite fishing break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2009

I stayed three weeks in Dromin Farmhouse in September 2009, the purpose of my stay was to fish the river Laune for Salmon. The house is located in a beautiful scenic part of Kerry. The house is very quite, has friendly atmosphere, with a very pleasant Landlady. It is very conveniently located for visiting Killarney and the ring of Kerry as well as Salmon and trout fishing in the region. The breakfast was very good every day of my stay

“Wonderful hospitality!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2009

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Dromin Farmhouse. After a long overnight flight and 2 1/2 drive from Shannon, Mary greeted us with scones and tea. What a lovely welcome!
Breakfasts were great and it was a delight to return to Dromin Farmhouse each evening after a day of touring. We enjoyed a delightful view of the mountains from our room and we hope to return in the future. Mary is a special hostess.

“Cead Mile Failte”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2009

We had the pleasure of spending one night at this charming B & B Farmhouse. We were warmly greeted by the owner, Mary and served tea within moments of arriving. Never before have we felt so welcomed, "One Hundred Thousand Welcomes". She was so genuine in her speach and her actions. We feel as if we have a new Best Friend. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was spotless. She is a charming Hostess and served up a delightful breakfast the next morning. We loved the beautiful views and her gardens. If we ever go back to Ireland I hope we are able to stop in and stay with Mary our new Best Friend.

“An outstanding B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2009

My wife and I spent several days at the Dromin Farmhouse, and we couldn't have been happier. Mary went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect. The food was excellent, and the location was very relaxing.
