Dolphin Beach House is basically paradise in Ireland. The house is extraordinary beautiful, and I was lucky to be given a choice between two rooms, both of which were gorgeous. My room was enormous, interestingly designed, and opened up onto its own little garden patio. The rest of the property also made for a lovely walk to see the lily pond, vegetable garden, cliffs and beach side. The house was only a 10 minute (and very exciting) drive to the main centre of Clifden, which also had the greatest selection of restaurants I have seen in comparable towns. Clodagh and Darragh were great hosts; the perfect mix of being lively and laid-back, and were extremely warm and welcoming. As an example of her exceptional hospitality, Clodagh went above and beyond by offering to let me take her personal kayak out into the bay and then insisting on putting my soaked clothes in her dryer before I left! Dolphin Beach House definitely exceeded my expectations. You will love it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dolphin Beach House - what a fabulous place. We arrived at 23.30 on Friday night due to work commitments and they were very accommodating of this. We woke to an amazing morning - sun splitting the stones, breathtaking views and an exquisite breakfast. The hosts, Clodagh and Darragh, are so welcoming and provide fantastic tips and local knowledge on the best swimming spots, ideal walks, taxi services etc. I couldn't recommend the place highly enough and wanted to stay longer. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed for three nights and loved it. The house is beautiful, the rooms are lovely and more than ample space. The location is amazing, taking walks on the hillside cliffs with the sheep grazing a few feet away was so fun. Belle the dog was an added bonus and she took me down to the beach to play fetch with her, a real character. The breakfasts were so yummy and Clodagh was always smiling, helpful and sweet! The only drawback is the curvy, narrow road, which can be a bit scary to drive on! Thanks for adding to our wonderful holiday in Ireland.

Dolphin Beach is no ordinary place. The welcome from Clodagh and the gorgeous rooms are to die for. We truly did not want to leave. We stayed in Bay View with a fantastic sleigh bed and view of the ocean. The room was spotless and quiet. The food was lovely and the lounge area complete with Belle the dog felt like home - except we don't have a view like it. We have never stayed in a more beautiful place.
