We certainly did ourselves a favor by staying here! The village of Adare is known for its charm, and so is Adare Country House---deservedly! It is a beautiful house and full of exquisite paintings, many of them by the hostess, Eileen. Her work needs to be in a gallery of art! Husband Dennis was extremely helpful in providing tips and arrangements. I wish we could have stayed longer just to chat more with both of them. Don't bother with more expensive lodging in Adare. You simply will not top this place for its friendliness, helpfulness, atmosphere, beauty and value!

We stayed here for one night & were made so welcome. The house is beautiful & the owners couldn't have been nicer. Would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Adare. The village is a very short walking distance away.

My sister and I spent our last night in Ierland in the warm embrace of Eileen and Denis. Their home which they share with an appreciative public is charming. Their wish to please is unequaled. We had to depart early for a flight. Our breakfast, cooked to order, sat steaming on the table at 6:30AM. Leaving on a full belly was deeply appreciated. Food on the plane was barely edible. At what I consider an ungodly hour, they were bright and engaging. How I wish we had more time to spend with them and enjoying Adare. Our dinner at Lenas, a pub which they recommended, was also one of our best in Ireland. The whole experience in Adare was 5*!!!!!

My wife and I were lucky enough to recently spend an entire week at the Adare Country House with Eileen and Denis. Everything about our stay was 'brilliant' - our hosts, their house, the location and the very substantial breakfast feast we enjoyed daily. Adare village is definitely a must see and the local pubs provided excellent service, fare and attentive staff (try Collins or Aunty Lena's!) - they are a short walk from the country house. Make sure to visit Adare Manor as well....a must see and very impressive!

Eileen and Denis and their hospitality were certainly the single best part of our first time trip to Ireland; hopefully we'll be back again! Not having planned an exact itinerary for our stay, except that we planned to rent a car at the (Shannon) airport and do 'day' trips from Adare. Denis provided invaluable suggestions and advice to enhance what 'jaunts' we had planned which added much enjoyment and many memories to last a lifetime.

While in Adare, do visit the Adare Country House!!!
