“Wonderful! A fantastic bargain!”

Off the beaten path, but easily accessible to the tourist spots by car. A beautiful, roomy, comfortable, convenient home (much more than you would expect from a "cottage")! Can't believe the price for all of the spaciousness and comfort! Three bedrooms and three baths....made traveling with two friends so nice. Each had her own private space! The Magners were helpful, gracious, friendly generous hosts! A perfect spot for you, if you don't want the hustle bustle of town life or tourist traps! For what you get, the price is unbelievable! Can't wait to go back!

Our favorite place in Ireland. John and Gertrude are wonderful hosts. We look forward to other visits in the future.

“Home from home and an absolute pleasure to keep going back twice a year”

It is a wonderful place to return to twice a year.
We enjoy the trips out to various places of interest and culture.
The garden at the cottage is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside.
Visiting wildlife ie Birds of all species, Rabbits, Pheasants, Grouse, and of course the local animals ie Cows and Sheep.
A Welcome Pack is in the cottage when you arrive consisting of Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Butter, Fresh Milk, fresh home baked scones and jam or fruit pie and fresh farm milk is available from the Magners farm down the lane.
The local butcher is wonderful, quality of meat is second to none, even open on Sunday morning.
Castletownroche is a beautiful well kept village and the locals are friendly and welcoming.
