“Great staff, who made us feel really welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2009

We stayed in The Castle Hotel for a wedding and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were great and really made us feel welcome. We arrived early and were allowed check in that morning. This was typical of our experience in the hotel, all the staff were helpful and friendly. The location in the middle of the town is good, the leisure centre and pool are well run, clean and bright - not the biggest pool or gym but they did the job fine.

“Excellent Service First class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2009

Arrived for a Supervalu weekend break with my wife for my 40th birthday could not fault this hotel in anyway we were very impressed with the staff very friendly and most helpful,
on booking in at reception we were met by kay and another lady who made us very welcome. The food at the hotel is secound to none and very reasonable. Not much to do in Macroom but is very handy if you want to visit Kerry about 1hours drive.I would very much recommend this hotel if you are visiting west Cork.If all hotels in Ireland were
run like this a lot more people would holiday at home.10 out of 10

“Very Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2009

An old building extended a few times I would think, which gives a slighly labrynthine quality to it, but very well looked after and the staff are very courteous and friendly. We arrived quite early in the day - so many hotels simply tell you to come back later, but a very helpful lady at reception made it her business to look after our baggage and see to it that a smokers room was made ready for us as soon as possible., while we had a snack. Breakfast staff were informal and friendly, and there seems to be a wider than usual choice on the menu. Leisure centre facilities were good and clean, and there's a good carpark at the rear. Oh, and a huge room - very spacious - so rare now.

“A Very Pleasant and Peaceful Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2009

My elderly mother & I had the recent pleasure of a three night break in the
beautiful Castle Hotel. We arrived to a perfect Irish Welcome and felt so at
ease and relaxed from the very start of our stay. Our spacious twin bedroom
was located on the first floor and provided us with a peaceful and restful
nights sleep during our stay. I cannot recommend or speak highly enough of
the hotel and their staff who worked endlessly to ensure our visit was a
complete success and were helpful in every way possible. Many thanks!
