“This place makes me smile!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2010

Stepping into the foyer area of the Pax House, you are greeted by a framed print that proclaims "Dingle. This place makes me smile!" Well, it absolutely did and much of it was due to the lovely stay at the Pax House! Many places provide you with a place to sleep and a nice meal. John and the Pax House provided us with memories to last a lifetime! You do not want to miss a stay here!
It started with quick, detailed responses from John before the trip began, as well as detailed directions of how to find him. The location is beautiful-stunning view and a very pleasant walk into town or an easy drive.
Arrival was pleasant, as John stopped what he was doing to welcome our group of eight, show us around, answer questions, and introduce us to the area.
The rooms were spotless, bright, quiet and the breakfast and lounge area offered beautiful views. But by far the best was the patio-wished I had a week and several good books just to stay and sit!
Breakfast the next morning was delightful, and the two staff who helped served added to the enjoyment. Each morning we were all welcomed by name!! What an amazing attention to detail certainly that made us feel appreciated! The meals were delicious as well.
John was an ideal host-always taking the time to chat, answer questions, make suggestions, although I know he was busy with the demands of the day to day tasks.
In a vacation that was often too crowded and too fast paced in order to see as much as possible, the Pax House really was an oasis of peace for two wonderful days. It ought to be a requirement to stay longer!

“Spectacular place, superb host”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2010

The highlight of our 2 weeks in Ireland was our stay at Pax House. Wish we had stayed more than 2 nights, as the accommodations are gorgeous and there's lots to do in the area. John's eye for art, his incomparable breakfasts and his winning personality made it a pleasure indeed to stay here. His great staff, Alma & Todor, assisted in every possible way to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Even Rio the dog added to the entertainment and atmosphere!
It's hard to beat sitting on the balcony facing Dingle Bay with a cup of tea freshly prepared by John, along with a tasty cookie. By far the best location in Dingle, perhaps in all Ireland!! Hope to return before long, as this is the most amazing B&B we have every stayed in.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2010

The most amazing stay we have had in Europe! We were only there for one night, but our party of four people wished we had more time to stay. It was so wonderful! John was so great when he told us the Dingle "loop" for the 4th time that day! He made such an amazing host. If you stay one place in Ireland STAY HERE! We cannot wait to come back for more than a one night stay!

“Best guesthouse in Ireland ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2010

Being guests of John is a live time experience. We have never been to a better accommodation like this, what ever you name. It is not just an awesome guest house, it is also an art gallery, an island of recreation never been before. The warm welcome of John and his staff make us feel like prince and princess. The atmosphere and ambience tells you "just relax". If we had been earlier to that place, we would have spent much more time in the Pax guest house, to explore Dingle Bay further more. If you want to look in million number of smiling faces, you definitely have to go there. John is really one of these irish people, who has word for everybody at any time and is very obliging. After several visits to Ireland all over the country; I would guess this is unbeatable.
