“Best guesthouse in Ireland ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2010

Being guests of John is a live time experience. We have never been to a better accommodation like this, what ever you name. It is not just an awesome guest house, it is also an art gallery, an island of recreation never been before. The warm welcome of John and his staff make us feel like prince and princess. The atmosphere and ambience tells you "just relax". If we had been earlier to that place, we would have spent much more time in the Pax guest house, to explore Dingle Bay further more. If you want to look in million number of smiling faces, you definitely have to go there. John is really one of these irish people, who has word for everybody at any time and is very obliging. After several visits to Ireland all over the country; I would guess this is unbeatable.

“Our favorite place in Ireland”

We traveled with our 20-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter and we all agreed that we wished we could have stayed longer at the Pax House. We felt as if we were staying with a friend who just happened to truly have the best views, best dog and best breakfasts in Ireland. Pax House is in a stunningly beautiful location within an easy walk of the downtown area with all its pubs. Some people may prefer taking a car into town as the walk is uphill on the return journey. We also enjoyed beautiful weather and daylight until almost 11 pm, which made walking into town feasible.

In our 10 day trip around Ireland, John, the owner of Pax House, stood out for his incomparable service and just genuine friendliness. He sent detailed directions in an e-mail before we arrived, served us tea and biscuits on the patio in the afternoon, turned down our beds and put a plate of gourmet chocolates in our room at night, provided dining and pub recommendations and gave us wonderful suggestions for things to do in the area. John juggled all the requests of his guests while making each person feel that he or she had his undivided attention.

This truly is a special place.

“Best B&B I've stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

I've stayed in B&Bs throughout Europe and the U.S. and this ties for first place. The room was clean, large and nicely appointed. The breakfasts were delicious. The service was second to none. Attention to detail everywhere you looked. friendly, helpful staff, couldn't ask for a nicer host.

“Perfect place to stay in Dingle - beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

The Pax house is the perfect place to stay in Dingle, it is about 10 minutes walk to the pubs and restaurants but that is a bonus as it means the elevated view of the bay and the peace and quiet is unmatched, the town is very busy and noisy and is great for music and food but so much nicer for us to stay in the lovely place with views across the bay. We had a lovely room with a large sitting room and patio , John provides shawls and cushions so you can sit out as late as you like, Rio also likes to play ball with anyone in the garden. The breakfasts were the best we have EVER had, so much choice on the cold table, all very fresh and the cooked breakfast which followed was perfect. Binoculars provided too so we could watch Fungi dancing around boats in the bay, this is the best place to stay in Dingle if you like wonderful views and a quiet location whilst not being too far from town, walk it in 10 mins or car parks are free in the evening so easy to drive.

“What a wonderful respite!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2010

We received wonderful directions to Pax House, including landmarks not just highways (which is a very good thing in Ireland) and including a recommendation to come via Conner Pass which is a wonderful option on a clear day. We found this B&B to be one of the most comfortable and luxurious we visited during our 2 weeks in Ireland. The rooms and very clean and neat and the king-sized bed and large bathroom were very welcome. Each evening we were there, we enjoyed the back deck and view of Dingle Bay, chatting with other guests and playing with the dog. We were greeted each evening with a pot of tea and biscuits which were truly delightful. Breakfast was very delicious and well prepared. Loved the yogurt! We hated to leave!
