“The Best Place Ever”

This has been our third time to Eclipse Centre since last August and only illness kept us from going more. We bring our 10 year old (horse mad girl) and usually one of her friends. For our daughter (who cries every time she has to leave) it is the best place on earth and to her friends the same. There is so much to do not only for the children but for the adults it is a beautiful place with lots of walks (duly supervised by Athos... who likes you to feel challenged!). For the lazy of us (me included) Go into the town of Kenmare and have the best fish and chips you have ever had, grab a coffee in Parknasilla and then chill in the jacuzzi in Eclipse after a long stressful day!!. It makes it all the better knowing that your child is safe and is having the best time of their lives be it mucking out, horse riding, raft building or the infamous by now, "white knuckle quad ride", and trust me this has to be seen to be believed! The heartfelt welcome and professionalism of the place has to be experienced. They are SO SO generous with thier time and everything is turned into a game. Judy, who runs the stables, will make even the most nervous riding at ease (even putting on the Bobby and Tonto show), again it has to be seen to be believed. To finish off as my daughter said "how come they are all so happy here"! I told her its cos they get to stay and we have to go home!. We'll be back at Easter and I'm giving the archery a go who knows I might even try rock climbing. To coin a phrase from three 10 year olds "Its just the best place ever"

“Real people real adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2010

The Centre was a breath of fresh air literally, nestled in a ruggedly beautiful Kerry landscape, Athos and his wife have an eye for detail in everything that they do and their passion has resulted in Eclipse being, quite simply a superior experience and product in this genre. You step into a homely and magical atomsphere for learning, deep relaxation and adventure. You'll leave feeling refreshed and inspired.

“A one stop shop for a great family holiday.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2009

We are just back from a great family holiday in the Eclipse Centre, our youngest is 10 and the oldest 73, everyone and everything was catered for and we really enjoyed how tucked away this place is yet very close to the ring of Kerry, The holiday houses are modern and fresh and very well stocked. Above everything else it was the warm and personal touch of the 'hands on' owner and his family that made it truly memorable.

“Top place, top people, overall top class!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2009

Just a note to tell all how exceptional this activity centre is, on arrival we got a very warm welcome we were then briefed on all the safety and appliances in the beautiful houses which are located just next to the centre,we then woke the next morning to sunshine and scenery which we all thought we were still dreaming,a full list of events awaited us to keep us on our toes,we were not disapointed our day was full of fun and laughs with events which catered for the young and older guys in our group,we had a well deserved lunch at half-time and a barbeque in the evening this was an unbelievable as even the biggest appetites in our group found it a task to finish, overall we were treated like royalty from a great family and a warm and helpful staff also, the value for money for the entertainment and accomadation we received was second to none and to even top it off the owner dropped us to the nearest bar for free that night "the blackwater tavern"which i would recommend to all who visits, the guinness was the best we ever tasted, this is truly a must see centre to all who visits the Kenmare area!

“A little piece of heaven in Kerry”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2009

“From the moment we arrived until we reluctantly packed for home we could not have hoped for better. An ideal break for any family wishing to get away from the madness of every day life. So much to do that a week is really not long enough. Everything on your door step, from horse riding to canoeing to archery – the list is endless! We even managed to try scuba diving! The kids absolutely loved the quad surfing while we relaxed in the sauna and steam room”
