My family of 5 stayed in the Villa Auersperg last Christmas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was also very good. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from Salzburg center and is an excellent value. We would most definitely return to Hotel & Villa Auersperg.

We paid 525 euros for 3 nights for a double room at the end of our mini tour of Austria and Germany which is not cheap. The double room was not ready when we arrived at 2.00pm. We were given a room with NO air conditioning, at the BACK of the annex/villa which is totally separate from the main hotel and overlooking the hotel CAR PARK. I complained to the management and we were offered a room in the main hotel overlooking the garden. The main hotel, breakfast, free internet, bikes are all great. If I was booking at this hotel again I would want confirmation of the room and its position. The last thing you want is to complain about the room at the start of the stay! But at 170 euros a night I was not accepting a room overlooking a car park, without air conditioning, in a seperate block to the hotel!

Our favorite hotel on our trip, this hotel was excellent in many ways. The hotel has its own parking lot and not some public lot that is 5 blocks away or cost 36 euro per night. The rooms are new, modern, spotless, and roomy, really liked the wooden floor (not a fan of hotel carpet). The location is a short stroll away from the Linzer Gasse (street) where all the action starts but far enough away to remain quiet at night. Eating breakfast on the garden terrace, the breakfast buffet was the best on our trip. The free wi-fi worked well. We will be staying here again.....for longer. Our room was in the VILLA not the hotel.

This is an excellent hotel. Large comfortable rooms, good breakfast, nice relaxing courtyard, friendly staff and good location that is about a 10-minutes walk to the old town centre. Its only let down by the rooms not being air conditioned.

Summers in Austria are hot and the provided fan was simply not enough to cool things down to allow decent sleep or any daytime rest in the rooms.

If you are going in winter, autumn or spring this hotel is an excellent choice. There is a very cottage and home away from home feel about the hotel which is just lovely.
