I stayed here in November 2005 and thought it was a decent, comfortable "business style" hotel. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was decent, the rooms a good size, beds huge and the whole place in decent condition.

It's not far in to the centre of town, and there are decent restaurants nearby. Rooms on the front are a little noisy as there is a main road below, but then they have the good view over the town.

Overall, good quality for the money if a little "faceless".

I stayed one night here, after having been some days through the north of Portugal.

As everything in this part of the country the hotel was extremely cheap and old fashioned, but clean and well located.

The breakfast was great and it has indoor swimming pool. The room was large and the reception and the bar were correct.

The only bad things could be the bathroom (it was large but old) and the sights (Coimbra seems a very bad preserved city and all the narrow buildings were filthy, so our room had sights to a stinky backalley)

Anyway, we watched the other hotels of the city and this was probably the best.

I have stayed at this hotel three times. The rooms were quite large and very clean. The bathrooms were large and had marble walls and floors. They were exceptionally clean. The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were all very accomodating. I ordered a bottle of wine for dinner. After finishing a small glass I reached for the chilled bottle and was promptly interrupted by the waitress. She told me that it was her privledge to serve me and proceeded to refill my glass. The evening meal was very good and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. I hardily recommend this hotel.

We where staing in the hotel three people in september 2003. the hotel is situated near the city center and the historic city of Coimbra, in a waking distance. The building apearance is not fitted to the arcitecture style of his surrounding. it is an ugly building. but inside is very spacios and efficient. the parking is in under the garden in the back. this is a private parking, but the hotel has an arrengment with it and it cost you nothing. the hotel has a valet parking service. The staff are professional and very efficient, but they did not "Jump out of their skin" to help you.The rooms are very spacios but noisy. those in front facing the traffic and those in the back. they suffer the noise from the exhausts of the ventilation of the parking.
