What a beautifu l hotel ! Perfectly situated, as it is the first hotel that you reach as you walk into thecity ... so you will not have to drag your luggage for miles, as I had anticipated. Friendly reception and lovely room on the first floor. Room was spacious spotless, with a beautfully clean bathroom. Window and shutters opened up onto main street .. but although a little noisy at certain times of the day, certainly wasn't a problem. Dining room beautiful with massive windows giving you a magnificent Tuscan view as you sit having your meal. Lovely spread for breakfast !!! Only problem was that we had to leave after two nights ... could definately have stayed longer! DON'T MISS SAN GIMIGNANO!!!!!

The room itself was designed by the Golden Girls' decorator (think Daytona Beach in the mid 80s) and hasn't been cleaned well or updated since HOWEVER the view from the room, we had TWO private balconies overlooking the spectacular Tuscan countryside was absolutely unparalelled and worth putting up with a less than fantastic room.

Don't bother staying here unless you reserve and guarantee a room with a view and a balcony. I'd stay in a cardboard box to see the view again.

Also the hotel breakfast was better than most other places we stayed (a total of 5 hotels throughout Italy) and the view from there is gorgeous as well.

We stayed here for two nights while touring in Tuscany. Our room was spacious with a comfortable king-size double bed and sofa. It had a private balcony overlooking fabulous panoramic countryside views. We had continental buffet breakfast and dinner in the dining room, which was excellent and also enjoyed similar views. Staff were friendly and courteous at all times. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

i stayed here recently whilst in san gimignano for a friends wedding. we had been planning to camp but the weather had taken a real turn for the worse and all our stuff got wet and muddy. this hotel is really close to the city walls and carpark. we asked if there was a room free and were given one overlooking the street. the staff were very friendly and welcoming. the room although basic was very traditional and very clean. it was a real fefuge for us. the price was good at 90 euros including breakfast for the two of us even in late september. the view from the breakfast was fantastic and the breakfast was a good continental breakfast - all in all a very good hotel in good location and a very welcome warm dry spot for two rather soggy campers!!!
