Our recent re visit to this hotel was as usual a delight. The views from the balcony rooms are wonderful. San Gimignano is a beautiful city to stay and with the hotel located a few minutes walk from the city walls makes it somewhere to relax during the day when SG is very busy. There are plenty of good restaurants in the town as well as one very close to the hotel.

The location of this hotel is great as its only about a 400m walk to the beautiful walled town of San Gimignano. The hotel itself is very good, well maintained, clean and it has lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The pool area is very nice and it too has lovely views. Breakfast was very good particularly when taken on the terrace.
The only negatives which I would point out is that they charge for on-site parking and they charge a minimal fee for wifi - why they do this I dont know as free wifi is almost a given in most places. But overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, grounds, facilities, pool, cleanliness and its views. This hotel is a is very quit and peaceful and therefore a great place to chill out and relax. Would definitely go back.

Room tip: Pay the extra money for a room with a view. Their "small rooms" are akin to a cabin on a cruise ship - but that said they have excellent facilities and are very well laid out

Stayed here with a small tour group in September. View from our room was quintessential Tuscany. Enjoyed a wine (or two) from the balcony. Room on the small side, but balcony compensates. Really lovely breakfasts, good service. Nice tea at breakfast. Hotel reception attentive, & personable. Nice to be able to park our bikes out front too. Very easy walk to town. Thoroughly recommended.

This hotel is situated well for visiting Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Siena and is only an easy stroll into San Gimignano, so location is great. The staff are very obliging and pleasant. Our room wasn't very big but overlooked the pool and typical Tuscan countryside, although there was an additional charge of 40E/night for the privilege. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to explore this area whilst having a comfortable base and a garden and pool to rest in after sightseeing.

Room tip: Rooms without a balcony are described as small and as ours with a balcony was neat, I should think they must be tiny

My husband and I returned for a second year running after discovering this gem of a hotel and a town. Erika was there again at reception helping us with all our queries and requests. Fantastic lady and all her staff were equally welcoming. Breakfast on the terrace and the pool and the stunning views make this hotel the perfect find especially as the town gets very hot and full of crowds, it is lovely to return to the peace and quiet. Yet we could walk back in for evening supper when the tourists had left. The best of all worlds. We would recommend this beautiful place over and over again.
