What a treat to have a lovely, immaculate,large hotel room with friendly knowledgeable staff, close to all the main sites of Florence. And what a benefit to have a small well equipped kitchen with fridge, to retreat to in the heat of the July afternoons. We ordered grocieries ahead ( fruit, cheese, wine) and made our own small breakfasts and picnic style lunches almost every day. We were close enough to the center to walk everywhere and return to the hotel for an afternoon break. Francesco was SO helpful. Every restaurant he recommended was top-notch; he helped us with maps and pre-booking tickets to exhibits and concerts. I would not bother looking elsewhere when I return to Florence.

My husband and I stayed at Residence Hilda for 21 days this summer during a business trip. The staff showed great consideration and service as well as professionalism and promptness at all of our requests. The prices are fair and the accomodations are above average. Our only complaint was difficulty with the internet service and hope that they can improve so that we can stay again next summer!!!

We could not have asked for better accommodations for our 40th anniversay. When we arrived our refrigerator was stocked as requested, Francesco met us at the door upon arrival and could not do enough for us. Constanza helped with any and all
"extras" we needed from a tour of the Chianti region to reservations at the Vatican when we were in Rome. We would recommend this hotel to any and all of our friends (and we have!) Francesco, Constanza and Valentina took such good care of us, they truly spoiled us and we can't wait to return!

We chose Residence Hilda based on comments posted on Trip Advisor and glad we did. The general consensus seems Residence Hilda is a great place to stay...and indeed we found this to be true. The location was great while within a very short walking distance to all the sites and main action yet on a quaint and quiet street. I especially liked the laundromat accross the street since we just returned from a 10 day cruise and no clean clothes left. The service is mpeccable and accomodation perfect for our family. We have 2 teenage children, a 16 year old boy and an 18 year old girl. The family suite was perfect for us as the kids each had their own twin bed and we took the very large bedroom allowing us complete privacy. Plus, there is a small service kitchen that worked perfect for us while enjoying cold wine and drinks at all times and a place to cook our late night pizza. Not to mention, every inch of the hotel is impeccably clean and comfortable. We, with no hesitation, strongly recommend Residence HIlda.
