The flat we had was large, comfortable, clean and quiet. Location couldn't be better and staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Stayed here on my honeymoon - the accommodation was actually recommended by a colleague. It surely didn't disappoint!!! They even gave us a small bottle of champagne to celebrate. It was by far the most spacious accommodation that we stayed in Italy, and it wasn't the most expensive either!! Room, sheets, bathroom etc etc., were all very clean. Towels changed daily at an extra charge, but no big deal. Staff were very helpful, although didn't need them very much - they helped us reserve tickets to visit the Uffizi gallery and Galleria Accademia to avoid the queues. There was also the added bonus of a small kitchen should you wish to self cater. Free WiFi also available. Located only 50-100 metres from the Duomo, hence very central. Also right opposite a laundry shop at time of writing, hence very convenient to do your own washing. Hard to fault really.

We had a great experience at the Residence Hilda and would stay here again! It is a very short walk to " the David" from this location.The Duomo is just down the street!!!
The hotel staff was very helpful and made reservations for us and helped us navigate the city. The room was large and very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 teens.!!!!!

As most other reviewers described, this hotel is really a hidden gem in Florence. The room or suite is very clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything you would need. The location of the hotel can't be beaten. You would feel like you live among the locals once you get to your room, drop off your luggage and walk out the front door. Although it is more like a service apartment in American standard, the staff are wonderful. They probably the most helpful and friendliest hotel staff we've ever had experiences with. They would go out of their ways to make your stay enjoyable. Sadly Florence wasn't our most favorite city, so we had to cut out stay short at Residence Hilda. We felt very bad about doing that, but the staff still graciously and happily assisted us with our needs. Ask Francesco to recommend you some nice local restaurants to visit. We liked the one he recommended us so much that we went back twice. It is a very local restaurant with almost no tourists so you will need a translation book for the menu or you can ask the server to translate. Another tip for those of you thinking of driving into Florence, DON'T! You would regret that decision the first five minutes you get into the car. It is very difficult to maneuver with a car in Florence, even with a GPS. It would be best to leave your car when you get there and pick it up again to get to the next city. We highly recommend Residence Hilda without any hesitation. Enjoy your time and excellent if you are going to stay there.
