“Good location but small room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 June 2010

Cimabue hotel is a 5-10 minutes walk from the train station and from the Duomo.
Nice reception, where one of them recommended us a restaurant "tito" 2 blocks from the hotel and it was a nice Trattoria, great family place.
The room, on the second floor after a labirint of corridors, is was quiet small, small bed (1.40), small window giving into a light spot between all other appartments, dark room, high ceiling, it's kind of "kitchy" decorated and the bathroom was so small. No way to cross each other in the bathroom. The cleaniless of the shower was doubtful the first day.
For breakfast a large choice of breads and jams and juices, coffees,... so good, just the timing is quite short, only till 9.30am.
Still we had a pleasant stay in Florence, even a visit to Pisa, Lucca or other cities are close by train and great to see

I loved this place, I stayed here with my family. The Hotel was absolutely beautiful with its rennovated rooms and lovely frescoes. The room was spacious and clean. The staff very helpful and polite. Superb breakfast with ample selection of foods. I would definately recommend this hotel, and I would stay there again.

We have been at Hotel Cimabue last week and we will go back to Florence in few days and for sure stay at Hotel Cimabue. The stay was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and rooms were very clean and charming. Breakfast was nice, with a variety of choices. The last day of our stay the staff helped by calling our next stop in Rome to get driving directions and that made my life much easier.

“Good value for money, location is not that great”

We stayed at hotel Cimabue for two nights. I liked the place. It's not that far from the downtown area, it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the main sites by foot. Staff was really friendly. The only negative aspect was the breakfast, it was very simple and they didn't have many items to choose from.

“Very Charming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2009

Such a charming, quaint hotel. Located about 9long blocks from the train station ... this is a decent walk if you're pulling baggage and it's all slightly up hill! But it is away from the noise of central Florence. The room was decorated in antique wood furniture with a large double door opening out into a sitting area ... mainly for smokers I think! The shower was a bit moldy in the grout, but it did the job! Breakfast was minimal but nice. Service was very nice. It's hard to find as it is located in one half of a building that's shared with offices. But it's worth it.
