We spent three nights at Via I Giullari during our stay in Italy. It was exactly what we were looking for in a B&B - quiet location, fantastic views, well-appointed bath, a sense fof privacy, and a great hostess. The breakfast was well-executed european fare - a selection of Italian hams and cheeses, brioche, cerals, fresh fruits, breads. We were lucky enough to be one of only two couples in the B&B when we were there. I can't say enough about our hostess; she was accomodating, helpful, and gave us great tips for local restaurants and destinations.
One thing to point out is that this B&B is not in Firenze proper, but is just outside the city on the hillside. You can walk into town or to some of the nearby restaurants, but you should probably plan to use taxis or the bus for most travel into the city. Walking down the hill into town is a fine 15-20 minute stroll; coming back up the hill with shopping bags or just tired after a day of sight-seeing may be more than you want to attempt. The good news is that the bus stop is literally only 25 yards from the property entrance. We found this to be a fair trade for the quality of the property and lack of city noise.
When we go back to Italy, we will stay here again. We wouldn't even consider another location in Firenze.
