“Trento- add Germany and Italy with a pinch of "The Shining"”

Beautiful majestic castle-like hotel, up the tiny one way street. It was awesome with breath-taking views of the Dolomites from the front yard of the hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly, speaking English, Italian and German. The hotel obviously isn't busy during the spring and summer months cause not only did we get an awesome price but we had almost ended having two rooms for the price of one. It was one room but had suites. Really cool! Always have someone around you though it was a little creepy cause it was SO empty and all the rich fabrics, tapestries, prints and paintings, as well as the red carpeted floor gave me the heebidy- jeebidies. All I could recall was the movie "The Shining" I felt, I might see a set of creepy twins, a little boy talking to his finger or REDRUM on my door in blood. Other than that it was nice and the breakfast was awesome. A room filled with all kinds of pastries, cereal, coffee, tea, eggs pretty much any breakfast food you can imagine was ther and in abundance. Over all it was a sweet hotel and I would def stay there preferrably with a large group of friends and not just with one other person.

“Great hotel near Trento”

This is a lovely hotel right outside of Trento (easy to walk to Trento as it is all downhill; best to take the bus or a taxi back up). Beautiful grounds, park-like setting. We had a huge room. Parking was no problem. Staff was very helpful, gave us bus tickets and restaurant recommendations. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night we wanted to go, so they sent us to a great Argentine restaurant almost next door. It would be great if they had a pool.

“Much more than a 3 star hotel”

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, after reading the Tripadvisor reviews. We were certainly not disappointed. The villa itself is beautiful with delightful gardens and plenty of comfortable loungers scattered around. We were in one of the smaller rooms but it was nicely furnished and very comfortable with its own terrace overlooking the gardens.

When we checked in we were greeted warmly and ushered into the bar area to be seated and given a bottle of prosecco and plate of savouries while we waited for the key. Possibly the room wasn't quite ready but it didn't matter in the least and, in fact, it was only 10 minutes or so before we were taken to the room where a plate of fruit was waiting. These small touches make a big difference.

We ate there both nights and the food was excellent on both occasions, as was the service.

We didn't really want to leave!
