“Very good Hotel with great breakfast, helpful staff, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2010

Stayed with our family of 6 (teenagers and child) and very much enjoyed our stay eventhough we were robbed of a briefcase trying to park our car (it was in the car and someone lifted it) behind the hotel.

The breakfast was great and the location near the train station was optimal to get anywhere as well as with taxis. Construction was occuring in the front of the hotel but right around the corner was the trendy area of corso como with great outdoor dining restaurants that we enjoyed very much as well as it seemed like a cat walk at night for models.

despite the robbery (not hotel's fault), we found the hotel very good with a very helpful staff, great breakfast and had no troubles getting anywhere in milan such as last supper, duomo, galleria, via buenos aires, etc.

Would definately recommend

“Business Hotel - not more, not less”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

I regularly use the Atahotel Executive for business trips to Milano. Generally, satisfied with the quality.

Location: opposite to Garibaldi station, 8 minutes by taxi from Milano Centrale main station, 10-15 minutes from Cadorna station (airport train), 1 hour from Milano Malpensa airport. I do not recommend taking the underground in Milano. The hotel is located at the north-bound end of Corso Como, which give a nice walk (25 min) towards the city center. However, there are hotels better located for tourism.
The Garibaldi / Porta Nuova area is a construction side and will remain so, don’t expect a nice view.
Reception: not the most friendly, but experienced and professional. During the last three years, the main staff has not noticeably changed and is at least middle-aged, so they show professionalism (as opposed to some hotels with mainly underpaid inexperienced newbies).
Rooms: the hotel has six floors, business rooms are in the upper floors. Aim for a room towards the street, not for the court yard (there is a disco down there and the noise may penetrate into the rooms). Rooms are rather spacious, traditional style (dark wood, elegant fabrics). You’ll find a sofa and a decently sized desk. Good mattresses, curtains to keep the light out. Thick carpet all around, so virtually no outside noise. Air conditioning available and necessary in Milano in summer time, however, somewhat noisy. There is Wireless Internet available, but rooms are sometimes not well covered.
Cleaning/Housekeeping: professional staff, I could never complain here.
Breakfast: for Italy, decent breakfast with some fresh juices and fruit, some cakes etc. Not spectacular, but ok. Try not the coffee offered to you, but ask for a cappuccino or espresso.
Amenities: no gym or sports room.
Hint: try to book via their website and look for special offers.

Summary: a good business hotel with some smaller flaws.

We booked the hotel for one night at a bargain price. We had a great stay there. The room was elegant and clean and the location is very convenient.

“Nice room”

The room was big and clean, the breakfast was fine. Just the location is not very good, but wasn´t a problem for us. We had a great stay.

“Great Hotel & Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2010

My husband, and I together with another couple went to Milan to celebrate our birthdays. We found this hotl on last minute.dom and it was perfect just £60 inc breakfast per night. Staff were friendly although we spent most of the time out of the hotel. The rooms were large with king size bed, settee, desk, spare chairs and large flat screen tv. The bathroom was functional and the toiletories lovely. There was also a free safe, hairdryer ironing board and iron available in the room. Breakfast was a grand affair, ok the same everyday but with the options available you need not have the same everyday. The only issue I had was if you wanted coffee there were about 10 options but tea was served using a half full teapot with no lid and then made your own with the teabag options.
