“Great Hotel & Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2010

My husband, and I together with another couple went to Milan to celebrate our birthdays. We found this hotl on last minute.dom and it was perfect just £60 inc breakfast per night. Staff were friendly although we spent most of the time out of the hotel. The rooms were large with king size bed, settee, desk, spare chairs and large flat screen tv. The bathroom was functional and the toiletories lovely. There was also a free safe, hairdryer ironing board and iron available in the room. Breakfast was a grand affair, ok the same everyday but with the options available you need not have the same everyday. The only issue I had was if you wanted coffee there were about 10 options but tea was served using a half full teapot with no lid and then made your own with the teabag options.

“Good hotel in good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2009

The hotel from outside and the area do not look too promising, but despite dated facade hotel was really nice with big rooms and great breakfast (and of course I had checked reviews from TA before booking). Price was also right; 79 €/night, including breakfast. Not a design hotel, but suited us well.

There was a construction work and building sites in front of the hotel, so I asked for quiet room on upper floors. In the evening we could hear music from the clubs and bars at the back of the hotel, but were so tired that fell asleep easily.

Selection of the complimentary breakfast was excellent, from freshly squeezed orange juice to bacon, sausages, fruits, cereals, yoghurt, cakes etc.

Corso Como with bars, shops and famous lifestyle shop/restaurant/bar Corso Como 10 are just around the corned from hotel. Brera are has countless interesting shops, bars and restaurants.

“Good quality hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2009

This is a good quality hotel in a decent (pricey) part of Milan. We got this hotel cheap (a deal online) so I have no idea how expensive it normally is - but it looks quite dear.

As others have said, I imagine there are lots of business clients and we did see quite a few pilots (with their own check in area!).

The rooms were really nice - typical good quality hotel, very large and with everything you needed. Nothing boutique or individual about this hotel though. Lobby seemed plush and breakfast was also fantastic. Touches of luxury around the place - shoe shining machines near the lifts, bubbly at breakfast, etc.

It's just across the road to the subway and easy to get around from this hotel, with the nearby streets full of trendy bars, restaurants and clubs. There was a lot of construction going on outside (looks like they're making some new swanky office blocks) but this never disturbed us. The hotel doesn't look amazing from the outside - just a (slightly dated) glass building, a bit like an old office block.

The main downside of this hotel was the service. If you arrive in a suit, I'm sure they're perfectly pleasant. However after a long tour of Italy, this was our last stop, and we were tired, sweaty and carrying rucksacks. Reception clearly thought we had wandered in to the wrong hotel and were very off with us. We tried to arrange a late check out, and this seemed problematic (just to get them to tell us whether it was possible was quite hard work!). Not very friendly and quite snobby. The breakfast waiters were nice though.

“Great location and large comfortable rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2009

A large hotel which obviously caters for business travellers, with very spacious rooms. I liked the good quality complementary toiletries and the minibar. We used the latter as a fridge for our own drinks and were able to save some money (the local bars charge a fortune). Great location, just round the corner from Corso Como - nice restaurants in a pedestrianised street. We were able to walk to the Duomo or Sempione Park from the hotel. And the taxi to Stazione Centrale was less than 10 euros. The staff were OK but not great. Breakfast was a super buffet, but the coffee tended to be cold.

“Almost perfect ..... but alas a tad homophobic -”

the hotel is perfectly located to explore the local bars and generally have a good night out.
unfortunately we got off to a bad start when we were unable to get a double room. i had specifically booked a double room for myself and my partner - but alas when two females turned up we found ourselves in a twin room with no chance of a double.
we were able to push the beds together but it left us feeling a little angry to say the least.

apart from this - the room was very large - the bathroom was excellent - the lobby was faultless and the lifts were smooth and clean.

room service had a lot to be desired - don't order the continental breakfast - we ended up with jus a few rolls and pots of jam. the coffee was also not good - espec after a week in italy!

all in all - what one woudl expect from a 4 star hotel. once all the building workin the surroundings area is completed im sure it will be even nicer.
the homophobic atitude... well it is italy - disappointing - especially being milan - however - i hope it improves as i would definately stay here again.
