This is a good quality hotel in a decent (pricey) part of Milan. We got this hotel cheap (a deal online) so I have no idea how expensive it normally is - but it looks quite dear.
As others have said, I imagine there are lots of business clients and we did see quite a few pilots (with their own check in area!).
The rooms were really nice - typical good quality hotel, very large and with everything you needed. Nothing boutique or individual about this hotel though. Lobby seemed plush and breakfast was also fantastic. Touches of luxury around the place - shoe shining machines near the lifts, bubbly at breakfast, etc.
It's just across the road to the subway and easy to get around from this hotel, with the nearby streets full of trendy bars, restaurants and clubs. There was a lot of construction going on outside (looks like they're making some new swanky office blocks) but this never disturbed us. The hotel doesn't look amazing from the outside - just a (slightly dated) glass building, a bit like an old office block.
The main downside of this hotel was the service. If you arrive in a suit, I'm sure they're perfectly pleasant. However after a long tour of Italy, this was our last stop, and we were tired, sweaty and carrying rucksacks. Reception clearly thought we had wandered in to the wrong hotel and were very off with us. We tried to arrange a late check out, and this seemed problematic (just to get them to tell us whether it was possible was quite hard work!). Not very friendly and quite snobby. The breakfast waiters were nice though.
