“great place and great location in location very close to the ancient walls of rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2009

we really enjoyed having been to the suite oriani for one week in august 09. it's a really nice place with very welcoming staff. breakfast is a rich and italian one served in your room in the morning. location is pefect, just one subway stop away from the spanish steps or 20 minutes by walking from trevi fountaine. very nice restaurants and other facilities nearby... can't wait to come back thereee!!

“nice place, location too far from center of Rome”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2009

This place was rated well and was clean, quiet and the service good. However, it is really on the outskirts. Breakfast served in your room is all (Italian style) sugar, don't expect eggs or something healthy. You will have to take a bus or taxi to get into the city. I am a walker, hiker and you will need public transportation, which can add up if you take taxis. If you take the bus, you need to buy the ticket before you get on the bus and put the ticket in the machine on the bus. Ok place if you want to be away from it all but a problem if you just want to walk outside and begin touring Roma.

“An oasis of relaxation in the midst of busy touring.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2009

We were welcomed by a very attentive and hospitable housekeeper. Isabella made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, quiet and a retreat after a day of sightseeing. Transport is convenient and Isabella makes sure you know how to use the transport and where to go for dinner. Breakfast is a lovely continental tray with fresh coffee in your room.

“Perfect location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2009

This was my first trip to Rome, and I would definatly recommend this hotel. It is only 1 metro stop from the main town. It is located in a quiet area with good local restaurants. I would recommend being picked up from the airport by a chauffer as there is not much difference in cost than using public transport. The hotel will arrange everything.
The room was clean and pleasent with no noise.
I would visit this hotel again.

“Suite Oriani - Ups and Downs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 May 2009

We stayed at Suite Oriani for one night pre cruise and three nights post cruise in July 2007.
Pre cruise we flew into Rome and travelled by train to Euclide, then walked to Suite Oriani. After this I would definitely recommend arranging a transfer from the airport As Suite Oriani seems to be on the highest point around and every direction of approach is uphill, when you are dragging a suitcase this is a major inconvenience.
Also, we had booked many months in advance, with a view to the lovely garden rooms on the web site, but on arrival we found we had an upstairs room with a narrow spiral staircase to negotiate with the large cases already mentioned.
The room however was superb, especially compared with the London hotel room we stayed in for the previous week. At night, sleeping with the french doors wide open we did not even notice any traffic noise. In the morning, the breakfast was adequate, not huge but I needed to diet anyway. After breakfast Alessandro rang for a taxi to take us to the Borghese Gallery. We booked out about lunch time for the trip to Civitavecchia to join the cruise.
On our return from the cruise there was a bit of a mix up with rooms and we had one night in a very ordinary room before being moved to a better room for the remaining nights of our stay. The second room was almost as good as our room pre cruise and very comfortable.
While Parioli may be considered a bit remote we found it an ideal compromise as the metro was close enough and very efficient. We soon found the quickest walking route to Euclide and local shops and without luggage the hills were not as daunting. On our last evening in Rome we used buses to travel to a restaurant for our final dinner in Rome, returning about midnight.
The next morning was an early rise and transfer to the airport to fly home to Australia. There was a bit of a mix up with the time the transfer was required but we used the transfer organised by Aleesandro and once we were picked up the trip to the airport was very comfortable and quick.
