“Lovely Little Hotel in Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2009

This little hotel shares a building with at leas two other facilities (both hotels), each occupying their own floor. The location is very near the Plaza Republica (and also near one of Bernini's greatest works, the Ecstacy of St. Theresa). While I was there only overnight, the service was wonderful with Allesandro at the front desk. The price was less than $100.00 per night which included a lovely little breakfast on a rooftop deck and wonderful coffee! The room was not luxurious by any means but quite functional and the bathroom was fine. I would certainly consider staying at this hotel when I return to Rome.

“Great hotel in a terrific location, but ask for a quiet room!”

This is a great hotel (especially for the budget-minded) except for the noise. Make sure you request a room that is not near the front desk or near the breakfast area. We had the room directly across from the front lobby and we had a hard time sleeping due to the noise, and the bathroom was way too small for a couple of very tall Americans. However, our adult children had rooms at the Target Hotel upstairs (they must be partner hotels or something), and their room was lovely, quiet, and very nicely decorated with a huge bathroom. There were lots of positives about this hotel, such as a 5 minute walk to the train station, 1 minute to the metro, where you can catch the subway to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican, etc. The building is charming, and the staff is friendly (especially Bruno!!) The breakfasts were good, and we especially loved dining on their screened-in porch with heaters and an authentic-looking Italian water feature....delightful! I would highly recommend this hotel, just be sure to request a quiet room.

“Great price, great room, great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2009

We stayed at the Hotel Adler on our last night in Rome before heading to the Airport and home. We booked it kind of last minute and it worked out perfectly! It is in a perfect location. Right by alot of public transportation. Close to great shopping! Close to lots of sights. And it was a very nice room and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful! It was just what we were looking for. Thanks so much!

“Great Location, Good Service”

Less than 5 minutes walk from Repubblica Metro Station and a station away from Roma Termini (Rome's main station). Warm and friendly service from all staff especially Bruno. Was lucky to be given a nice big room and it's very clean too. Breakfast could be improved though - lack of variety and hot items

“Okay, but not great”

My husband and I stayed at the Adler on our last night in Rome due to it's proximity to the train station. It was average, nothing great. We stayed in 2 other wonderful hotels in both Rome and Florence and the Adler was no comparison. Our shower stall wouldn't drain so we and to take fast showers so the water wouldn't go all over the floor.

We asked for a 5 am wake up call, and they called at 5:30...thanks a lot. Luckily, we had woken up on our own.

The room was drab, very drab colors and decorations.

The staff was okay, but not particularly helpful. When we told one of them about the problem with the shower on checkout, we were basically ignored and given the bill.

If you'd like a really wonderful place to stay in Rome, consider the Santa Maria Hotel in Trastevere. It's a real treasure....check it out on Trip Advisor. It's quaint, in a really wonderful neighborhood, and attentive and helpful staff.
