For those arriving in Toledo by car, this is a great place to stay. Driving in Toledo would generally be a challenge, to say the least, but this hotel is easy to get to if you follow the hotel's directions. You basically enter the city on the east side and drive a ring road around to the south.
But not only is the location convenient, it's also quite scenic, with a great view of the river and hills beyond. A 10 minute walk into the heart of town -- a bit uphill, but all but the elderly will have no pariticular difficulty (my 8 year old didn't complain once!).
Rooms and bathrooms aren't particularly large, but they're large enough and very tastefully furnished. Bed was firm and comfy. Atmospheric, like staying in a small inn.
Front desk staff spoke great English with friendly and efficient service. The desk clerk recommend the City's "tapas tour" brochure, which shows the dozens of bars and restaurants each offering a specialty 2 euro tapas (not sure if this is a seasonal promotion). This is a great deal for dinner, as restaurant meals are expensive (at least to this American). We had a very fun, tasty and filling "bar crawl"(that even kids can participate in) at a modest price.
Our rate did not include breakfast, but there is a nice old-fashioned bakery right up the staircase behind the hotel. The room has a minibar, so we bought some "jamon" and cheese the night before when we were in the central square, and had it with our fresh bread for breakfast.
My only hesistation in recommending this hotel would be the location for non-car travellers. It seems like it would be on the opposite side of town from the train station. Consider this before booking.
