We stayed here as part of a group, so I cannot comment on the price. Check in was smooth. Lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Elevators are really efficient- you have to input your floor number and it will tell you which elevator to get into. Never waited more than 5 seconds for an elevator! The hotel is located on a busy intersection, so in spite of the double paned windows, it was still kind of noisy. Thankfully the holiday light show, complete with music, from the El Corte Ingles across the street stopped at a reasonable hour. For those who don’t know, El Corte Ingles is the super Macy’s of Spain, complete with a grocery store and café in the basement. Across the street and to the right is a mall, cinema, and plenty of shopping restaurants.
As for the room, it was spacious but slightly dated. English TV channels are limited but at least the menu button will help you organize by language so you aren't needlessly scrolling! Bathroom was good- hot water worked. Still don't understand the 1/2 glass panel for the bathtub (see this EVERYWHERE lately) and there is a bidet. Breakfast buffet was typical for what we saw throughout our Spanish journey- breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, and cereals. Hot items included bacon and eggs.
Overall, I think the location is excellent and the rooms are nice too (can’t complain). Ladies, do not leave Spain without buying some shoes and there are plenty of places to buy across the street.
