The location of the hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Puerto Banus. It's a road with beautifull sights over the lake. The hotel is good, a relaxing hotel with a nice swimming pool located in the sun in the afternoon. The breakfast was a bit poor. You pay 4 euro per person for a toast with jam and a glass of orange juice. We went for breakfast in San Pedro de Alcantara instead. The room was nice and clean but there was a carpet next to the bed and that was not very clean. There was hair of other guests and it was really necessary that it was cleaned. I should go back there for sure.

Quite and nice, good service and fantastic view. Low season, hence no restaurant open. Perfect place to start trekking and sightseeing. Nice pool in the garden with roofing. Only 15 minutes drive to the sea and Marbella. Very relaxing. I few good restaurants, but seasonal menu. Value for money. Recommended for single or couples. Not very fun for kids.

Room tip: Ask for rooms with view over the valley

It is 16 km from the nightmare coast next to a lovely white village( Istan) with its own spring and nice walks. The hotel is small and inexpensive( E 50 for a big room with wifi), staff are very kind and helpful for suggestions. They just serve breakfast, but if you go to the village you will find bars for tapas and food in the main piazza, a Moroccan restaurant( closed on monday) is next to the lower parking lot. If you like bakeries there is an ecellent one ( just ask where) that has also nice desserts: lovely madeleines.

The hotel is situated in Istan which is the only destination of the road leading north out of Puerto Banus. Have that in mind when making a booking. You will have beautiful views of the coast and valley, and the lake, but it might be difficult to get food if you go on the day the restaurant is closed (which we did).

Anyway, the hotel has plenty of parking, great views, a large restaurant and a pool which we didn't see. Our room was small but ample, clean, with wifi, and lovely views to the sea. Our host was very nice, and looked after us even though we were the only ones there. As we didn't do our homework, we ended up having to get dinner in PB which felt like cheating having got away from it all beforehand. Nevermind. Nice, simple breakfast in the morning.

Stayed here in October 2012 with my girlfriend.
Very friendly. Owner insisted we used the pool, lounge etc on our check out day after asking the time of our flight.
Free parking.
Nothing too much trouble for the owner and staff.
Top quality "menu del dia". The food was very good even by Spanish standards and the waiter was very entertaining with his descriptions of the food!
Very quiet spot. Superb views over Lake La Concepcion
