We stayed here for 2 nights in December 2011 when we visited Hannover for the Christmas markets and loved this place.
We got a really good deal on the 2 night stay including breakfast (I think it worked out at around £70 per night for the deluxe double room that we booked which was very cheap during the markets)
Our double room had a massive double bed, extremely large wardrobe, very big desk/workspace area and a sofa. The bathroom was very luxurious with a deep bath with power shower over, marble topped sink, vanity mirror and shaving points. The room included a free mini bar full of beers, soft drinks and snacks, which was refilled daily (bonus points for that Dormero!) Our favourite part of the room was the space age technology that came with it; two massive flat screen tvs up above the desk which had hundreds of movies on demand (free) and sky tv/radio on one screen and internet that could be used on the other (mouse and keyboard in desk) it was really cool to have all this free technology as we are both technogeeks. There was a doorbell to the room and you could switch on one of the screens to see who was outside ringing it, meant to be a security feature but provided much hilarity for us.
The breakfast that was included was buffet style and plentiful, everything from cooked breakfast to cheeses to cakes, all good quality and very tasty. We also ate in the restaurant on our first night, the food was really nice and not too expensive (unusual for a hotel bar) we had a few beers and didn't try the wine but the waiter said they serve some really good wines should you want it.
The hotel bar seemed to be very busy and regularly has DJ/club style evenings which are very popular with locals. They put on bar snacks that are free every night but it is more like a big buffet full of cheeses, meats and breads, this hotel seems to have a lot of freebies!! I even saw a sign about women drinking free in the bar on one of the nights (maybe Thursdays) when with a man who is paying for his drinks, that might have been a one off, but I was still impressed.
The staff were all very helpful and spoke perfect English. There was a gym that was free to use, my boyfriend used it and said it was not massive but adequate.
The hotel is located within a 2-3 minute walk of the metro/underground station that links you to the centre of Hannover within 10 minutes.
If we were ever in Hannover again this would definitely be our hotel of choice.
Upgrade to a deluxe room with free mini bar, well worth it
