Our 2 nights here were great. Very clean and comfortable room with excellent facilities, and all just a short walk from the main harbour area (and therefore all the restaurants and Cafes) of Honfleur. We expected a little noise but this was very quiet and restful. Nice simple breakfast and cheery, helpful hosts. Thoroughly recommended.
Stayed one night early in June, just as the D-Day celebrations were kicking off. That meant that Honfleur was heaving, but the Hotel Money was peaceful and efficient.
Our room was excellent (worth the extra for a superior room), with a lovely bathroom and a very comfortable bed.
No problems at all with the Wi-Fi connection. Breakfast was very good, and very reasonable by hotel standards.
Sylvie and her husband were charming hosts, and couldn't do enough to ensure that we had a pleasant stay.
We stayed just in night. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Nice quite location with a 5 minute walk to the old harbor and the downtown area. Free, easy parking in the courtyard just out our door.
Hotel Monet was in one word: Letdown
The room was goodish however you do lack privacy as our room had a sheer French window which meant if you did want privacy you didn't want sunlight or a view...... The Wi-Fi is the worst that I have experienced and to get on the Wi-Fi is very convoluted and on my computer, my security warning came up when I went on the website you need to go on to be able to access the internet at Monet. When you were on the Internet it would also frequently drop out which was a best frustrating. The beds themselves were very comfortable so there were no gripes there.
Onto the breakfast, this costs 9,70. This is a rip off, we were given a croissant and a bit of baguette each as well as a pot of a hot drink which did 1.5 cups. There was yoghurts and juices etc and ONE type of cereal (on the door it said selection) but still a more appropriate price would be 3 euros or don't charge for it/sneak it in the price of the room.
We wont stay again as far better deals are out there.
Bonjour
Cordialement
We stayed on our way to Bayeux. The room was quite comfy and the bathroom quite large by European standards. Wish WiFi had worked in the room or even the outside patio area. But, we were on vacation, so who needs it? ; ) Sylvie was a lovely "hostess" assisting me in finding a good restaurant for dinner - tip: eat at Cycliste - it's not right on the water and seemed to be less touristy. We will definitely recommend Hotel Monet to friends traveling to Honfleur. And....we liked the walk back up from the town - good exercise after dinner!!
